QUESTION:
Zunes?????????????
I've been thinking about buying the new halo 3 zune. I wanted to know if the zunes were any good. I've had a ipod and it was a big waste of money.

				ANSWER:
Zune is excellent. I had an iPod video and I find Zune to be much better and more practical. I never used the stopwatch. Never used the Address book. Stupid things that just took up space. The Zune is much better with radio, a bigger screen, wi-fi, and customizable backgrounds.

I would suggest getting a regular Zune, though. Unless you are a die-hard fan of the Halo series, it will become very 'dated'

Hope that helps...

Thanks.

				ANSWER:
QUESTION:
How do you transfer songs from itunes to zunes?
I'm thinking about getting a zune, but I'm not sure how I will transfer all my songs from itunes to the zune software. Also, are zunes better than ipods in your opinion?

				ANSWER:
The iPod and Zune can be akin to a cat and dog. Neither one really like each other.

To answer your question, if you've got music you bought off iTunes Music Store, then you can't transfer those to your Zune. It does not support the format iTunes uses, the software cannot interconnect. The two devices are "mortal enemies"

If you've got music you copied off your own CD's or are in mp3 format, you can simply re-import them from your hard drive into the software the Zune uses.

I've never really used either. I own an iPod but I bought it for hardware only. I'm running an entirely different operating system on it.

			QUESTION:
How can I use two zunes on the same computer // software?
Alright, I just got a zune about a week ago, and connected it, and got the software running and everything to my computer.

My friend just got a zune over the weekend, and bought a zune pass subscription and set up his to his computer.

I want to permanently use his library, and Im wondering How I can get both of our zunes working.. right now his computer wont recognize mine..

I know this is possible, i just need some help.

				ANSWER:
I have two zunes connected to my home computer and I installed the second one with no problems. My wife and I share one library just as you describe.

You have to use the installation disk just like you hooked yours up the first time, but on his computer this time. Jump through all the hoops and there will be two devices (with their nicknames and all) in the left hand menu within the Zune program.

Then just click on the one that you wish to work with. All music should synchronize automatically.

You may have to remove the Zune program from your computer first (my understanding is that a Zune device will only sync to one computer), otherwise it may wipe out all the files from your Zune Device.

Hope this helps.

			QUESTION:
Why are Ipods so much more popular than Zunes?
I've examined both and it seems to me that Zunes are superior for the money.
Well, what I'm talking about is 120 gigs for 220 bucks, Also now in High Def.

				ANSWER:
it is all about marketing...steve jobs and apple have done a GREAT job brainwashing people into thinking the ipod is the best media player on the market (when it was more expensive than most, had worse sound quality and lacked an FM tuner like most had)...this was the case even before the touch and the app store were available. they use celebs, flashy colors, and cool music to advertise...and microsoft....well, doesn't do anything.
that is my thought for why ipods are the more popular media player...they became the "cool" thing to have...so everyone wants one. I admit, I was a Sheep for a while ...then i saw the light when my GRANDMA pulled out the exact same MP3 player i had...keep in mind she is 76 years old. i have been apple free for over a year and my life is already better

			QUESTION:
Why do people say ipods are better than zunes?
I don't get it. Zunes have more features, you can trade music, pics, and videos, it holds more memory, and it's cheaper. So why do most people say that ipods are better?

				ANSWER:
Strictly their own opinion.
People tend to go for what they are familiar with, and if thats an iPod, so be it.
Zune is rather new, and not many people have it.
Once word gets out a bit about the Zune, i'm sure more people would prefer it to an iPod.

The crashing of zunes on New Years is another sign that Microsoft fails attempting to compete against Apple's iPod.

				ANSWER:
yes, Zunes aren't nearly as cool or useful as ipods, although they do have built in radio...but ipods have disk use, and are easy to get the music and movies off of it from someone else. they look better too.

			QUESTION:
How long do zunes usually last?
I just got a Zune 2 and my friend told me they dont last long. Now im wondering if its true or if shes just saying that because she has an ipod. So my questions are:
How long do they last? Do they just freeze out of nowhere and dont work anymore? Are they really fragile and break easily?

				ANSWER:
Assuming it doesn't suffer something unusual like being stepped on or dunked in liquid, the typical problems involve either the battery (typical life: 2 - 3 years) or the hard drive, if you have the Zune 30 or 80GB models.

The hard drives are somewhat sensitive to jarring and will sometimes stop working if banged around or dropped too many times.

The smaller 4 and 8GB models are flash memory designs which are not sensitive to shock.

Most likely, the battery will start to not hold a charge around the 2 year point, but it can be replaced (has to be done by a repair shop).

Ipods will have the same reliability issues; they use many of the same parts and batteries.

			QUESTION:
How much does one song cost for Zunes?
and can I transfer all of my music that I currently have on my iPod to a new 80GB Zune?

				ANSWER:
Cost depends on where you buy it from. Amazon sells MP3s for less than 99c (depends on the song).
Transfering songs depends on whether your ipod songs are DRM-free or not. If they are DRM free, no issues. If there is DRM, first you need to "free" them. It takes more work, but it is doable.

			QUESTION:
Why are Zunes nowhere on the market anymore?
I've wanted to buy a Zune 80gb for a while now, but i'm starting to realize they aren't sold anywhere! besides used first generation ones on ebay and such, but why is this, and will it ever change?

				ANSWER:
Yep, the previous answers are correct. They are dying out now that the iPod and Apple "own the market". Trust me, you are way better off with an iPod than a Zune. You might pay less for a Zune but the usual rule applies, The less you pay, the less you get. Zunes didn't even make it New Zealand or Australia, there just not big enough.

			QUESTION:
Why are only the brown 30gb Zunes on sale???
I saw brown Zunes being sold for .99, then I saw balck and white Zunes being sold for 9.99-199.99. Can anyone tell me why this is???

				ANSWER:
The reason they're selling only brown Zunes for cheaper is because the brown is less popular and they have a surplus of them. i bought one yesterday, it's a great deal, and if you're unhappy with the brown color, then just get a skin.
If you want to buy one, then just know they aren't compatible with itunes, but you can get all the songs from your itunes to the Zune.

			QUESTION:
Can zunes work with the on stage dock?
I had an ipod video and dropped it in the pool :/
and now i was thinking about getting a zune but i already have an on stage dock http://www.woot.com/Images/Sale/JBL_On_Stage_II_Dock-2fSpeakers_with_Remote_P0I-detail.jpg
any idea if the zune works with that or if i could get an adapter chord for it? anything?!

				ANSWER:
You would have to get an adapter for the base not the cord. The ports on the Zune and iPod devices are proprietary. So unless that dock has an adapter that will convert the base for a Zune then no it won't work.

			QUESTION:
Are Zunes Any Good?
What's the good and bad features of the 30 GB Brown Zune? This store I know is having a sale on them for Thanksgiving for the unbelievable price of .99. Thanks!

				ANSWER:
I have had my brown Zune since they first came out. They recently upgraded the firmware which gave it an updated look which looks pretty good. I have all my music collection on it, tons of pictures, and even put quite a few movies on it too (nice when flying). I haven't experienced any problems with it and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I have been able to purchase music from multiple websites without any issues and transfer them to my Zune with no problem. I saw that advertisment too and I might go get another one at that price! Can't beat it. And 30 gigs is a lot of memory for the average user like me - and I have only used maybe a 5th of that already... it will hold a lot of music and pictures.

			QUESTION:
Is Microsoft on the verge of a downfall?
First of all the Windows Vista is not selling as well as XP did and corporations are still sticking with XP rather than adopting Vista. Secondly, Microsoft lost its bid for Yahoo. Thirdly, I heard this in the news recently Gamestop has stopped selling its Microsoft zunes. Here's what the spokeperson said, "because it did not have the anticipated appeal and "did not fit with our product mix." Fourthly, Macintosh computers sales have experience a growth rate 4 times that of windows pcs. So what do you think?

				ANSWER:
Vista does suck, but all of the server software that microsoft makes is great, and their software development tools are amazing and rapidly evolving in response to customer demands. 86% of new application servers are microsoft .net based. That's an unheard of marketshare.

The home user market may shy away from microsoft if a viable alternative is offered, but they are treating their business customers (which constitute the marjorty of their sales) very well.

In addition to the server side of things, there are many more knockout applications developed exclusively on microsoft platforms. Look at the new netflix silverlight online movie rentals as an example.

			QUESTION:
How long does the average Creative Zen Vision W last?
I really dont like iPods. They break easily and are really expensive for what they have to offer. I dont really like the Zunes either.
My next choice was the Creative MP3 players.
I really like the Creative Zen Vision W 60GB. It is really expensive but I think it is worth the price. No sales pitch needed, Im hooked.
My question is; how long before it starts to malfunction?
I dont want to spend over 0 for something that will only last me a year (*cough* *cough* iPods *cough*).
I have heard really great things about them and that they will last a while, but around how long?
******Please only answer if you have owned one for more than 1/2 a year*********

Thx
Does it freeze up a lot as it gets older?
Do you have to reset it?
What about the GB? If you put more and more things on there does it make it go slower?

Also, around how many songs does a 60GB hold?
Whats the difference between a 30 and a 60?
AND
I am probably going to buy one off of ww.buy.com.
Do you think that the 2 year warranty is pointless? Or should I buy it to be safe. Its extra dollars, is Creatives warranty respectible? And would I really need 2 year coverage? Are they well made?

*sorry with all the questions*

				ANSWER:
First of all the battery is replaceable it should last as long as you take care of it. You can send the zen w to creative and have them change the battery when it dies or buy it and change it you self. The battery will last 2 to 3 years. I have a zen mp3 player and i have had it for 2 years and no problems and the battery is still fine. Creative will charge to change battrey. - http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=214&product=15752

			QUESTION:
4 Gig Ipod or 30 Gig Zune??
I know that people say you shouldn't care what other people think, but face it it's hard not to. I don't know what to get. There is a deal at a store to get a 30 gig Zune for only !! Obviously its an AMAZING deal. However, the Zune isn't that popular. The Ipod Nano/Video, on the other hand is extremely popular, and it is starting to go on sale, not that much, but its starting, and I don't know what to get. Should I get a Zune or an Ipod? Please help me!! Also I don't need a lot of music or video space. I'm thinking of Zune because it also has radio as well as everything else but the deal is only for brown Zunes...and I don't really like brown that much. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! Thank you for those who do.

				ANSWER:
What is the point of purchasing. If you are purchasing as a status symbol then by all means go with the Ipod. Otherwise avoid ipods, the software sucks, you are limited to using the itunes software only and the price is horrible.

If you are purchasing to store and listen to music and maybe even some videos go with the Zune even if it is brown.

You won't find many deals on ipods as Apple has a contracted price that limits retail stores from selling there products for less then a specified amount.

			QUESTION:
I know they're being killed, but should I still get a Zune?
My Zune 8 just died. Wonderful timing.
So the search for my next mp3 player is on.
As stubbornly anti-Apple as I am, I decided to look at iPods first. Shuffles were too small, I didn't like the look of the current Nano, and the Classic was too chunky for my liking. Plus I might as well just get a Touch then. The thing about the Touch? I dunno, I just don't want one. At all.
Admittedly, there aren't really many options out there aside from iPods. In fact, everything except for the few Zunes left fail by my standards.
So it's down to the iPod vs. Zune debate I dealt with when I got this last Zune a few years ago. Back then, it was easy enough, but now, now that the Zune is being discontinued?
I'm not even 100% sure what that means, but something about that is warning me against getting a Zune. But there's nothing attractive at all in the iPods for me, and I'd take the Zune 32 any day.
If it weren't for this recent discontinuation. Although Best Buy is now running a sale because of that...
...is it worth getting though? Put aside your Apple fanboyism and tell me whether or not it's a really stupid idea to get a product that's being discontinued.

				ANSWER:
The only downside to the Zune HD mp3 players will be, that apps will not be made for the Zune HD mp3 players any longer. Microsoft however, is not killing off the Zune Mp3 player line entirely. Microsoft is only eliminating the stand alone Zune mp3 players, like the Zune HD. Microsoft is killing off the Zune mp3 players to concentrate on there new Windows Phone 7 operating system for smart phones. Don't forget, that all Windows Phone 7 enabled phones, are fully enabled Zune mp3 players. Much like the i Phone is for i Pod's. Apple is moving in this direction as well. There is talk of eliminating the i Pod classic in the near term now. Also, the Zune market place is not going anywhere since it is needed to manage your music, and video's on the Windows 7 phones.

The Zune is not dead. Only the stand alone players are. If you get a Zune mp3 player, it will still hook up to the Zune Market place just fine. Plus, Microsoft wants to start incorporating the market place even more into the Xbox 360 then it already is.

PS. If you want apps though, you will have to get a Windows 7 enabled phone.

			QUESTION:
I need a job please!?
I need a job like many other people in this world. But please, my family is desperate for money. My husband works at UPS and makes 0 per week and our rent is 0 per month plus our car insurance is 0 per month and the gas and electric bill is 0 per month, and we need food and our food stamps keep getting cut off and we're trying to get our daughter back from social services, she is 1 year old and the only thing left we have to do is finish baby proofing and repairing the house and between the cost of rent and repairs and all the bills we are broke. My dad is helping us with the bills until I can get a job so please someone give me a job! I've turned in hundreds of applications and haven't recieved a single call back. I'm very good at computers, I do designs on adobe photoshop along with photoediting, I'm proficient with Microsoft office Excel, Powerpoint, Word, I know how to delete viruses and cookies, I can set up wireless internet connections, I can fix networking connectivity problems, and I was an intern at Hypernova videogames aka Evil Genius Video games. I'm very good at math and reading, I have a hobby of learning other languages (I'm only fluent in English but I know some Japanese, Spanish, and French). I'm also very good at training cats and dogs, I've had 3 jobs as a cashier, and I am also a very good sales person when it comes to electronics. I have no previous experience selling computers, mp3 players, etc. employment-wise, but I have had multiple personal experiences. One, for example, was when I was at Best Buy with my dad getting a new computer. I overheard this guy talking to his wife about how he wasn't sure what kind of Ipod he wanted. I, personally, prefer Zunes. I've dealt with Ipods and I've dealt with Zunes so I walked over to him and I explained how although Ipods may seem better, they commony glitch, they're overpriced because the main "operating system" of the device takes up more memory than the Zune "operating system" program does. Thus allowing you to put more songs and videos onto the Zune. In addition, with the Ipod if you want one that has Video, Music, Pictures, Games and Radio like the Zune you would have to spend 0-0 and the screen wouldn't be as large as the zune screen, and it would most likely break within a year. Whereas a 6 Zune has Radio, games. video, pictures, etc. and you get over 80GB of memory and you can access more of the 80GB of memory than you would be able to access on a 80GB Ipod. Later, when my dad and I were at the front of the store checking the reciept for our purchase, we saw the same couple at a cashier paying for a zune.
ANSWER:
I've very empathetic about your situation. I myself am looking for a job. But it is going to be a long, tough life if you don't get a college education. You can fill out the form provided through the Web site below to become eligible for grants. You probably will be given even more money than you need to pay for tuition because of your financial status. You can use this extra money for anything that you need.

			QUESTION:
Do any MP3 players aside from iPods play games?
I’ve been looking at lots of different MP3 players recently, hoping to find one cheap and with everything I wanted (sounds like I’m asking for a lot, I know).

I ruled out iPods since they're extremely expensive, break easily (and you can’t replace the battery) anyways, ya, my last iPod broke quickly.

I’ve been looking at Creative (Zens), Zunes, sansa and really anything else on the market. I’m impressed with the expandable memory feature many have, though I don’t need too much memory right now (a 4 GB or maybe even a 2 GB ought to do it).

My only problem is that I cannot find a single MP3 player that plays games (other than iPods). I want to be able to do something active, not just stare out the window, while riding the subway or waiting for something. How has no other company realized people want games?
Am I weird in that I want games? Is that too much to ask?

OR, am I missing a key player that does have games (I'm hoping I am).

Below is what creative sent me when I asked about games, I think this pretty much means they don’t have any players with games.

Thank you for your interest in Creative product.

With regards to your enquiry, I am sorry that ZEN player do not support
gaming features.

We apologize for any inconvenience, please let us know of we can be of
any further assistance.

Thank you again for contacting Creative.

Recording the copyright protected DVD disc can appear to be the computer saavy item to you and complicated however it is not so. Currently the greatest method transfer video clips is by means of DVD's. A DVD disc is more efficient than a CD since it has additional disk space. It also can store documents on each side. Thus, this grants an noticeable gain with references to expense and also capacity. Much more data is recorded on one DVD dics as compared with single CD. The good news is that Dvd disks are usually basically of the very same cost as the CD disc, so it's not at all an extra stress done to you. A complete length video, numerous films may be saved on one DVD disc.

Nevertheless DVD video options are generally varied depending on the use that your concerned DVD disc is put to. Films and exclusive records are often written in the protected form of a DVD disc. In the copyright protected mode the Disc will be secured from almost any adjustments and also any other operations. Therefore if you want to save a protected DVD you wouldn't manage to. You'd be unable to generate any individual modifications to the DVD disc.

In order to rip the particular contents of your DVD to your harddrive, this technique is named ripping. Ripping allows you to copier and save your favourite films. Sometimes an individual may possibly not have a DVD video device and so they will have to re-write a movie on the DVD on to the CD. These people will have to duplicate the Video and write it at a CD. This could demand a DVD ripper, DVD recorder and a CD burner.

For you to copy any Digital video disc you'd probably have specific application that removes the copyrights. This sort of applications are readily available online. You are able to Google it. But don't choose just about any local software package. Be certain to accomplish very good research before you stop on the software program that you will be working with. High-quality software must grab the DVD without delay. 10 mins is a superb time period to duplicate a Film. It might furthermore preserve the quality of this video. The actual data at the DVD disc could be converted into a file on your pc. It is possible to later move this to your other devices such as palm PC or perhaps a cellular.

One of that software is DVD Smith, DVD decrypter or perhaps a program named "Shrink". Working with Shrink and Decrypter together is a superb and widely used practice amongst most of the users. DVD Decrypter makes an exact copy of the DVD on your hard disk. As a result, numerous non-required data may also be copied and spend your personal machine memory. DVD decrypter is no problem finding online. It can be used easily.

Shrink can be used to get the useful records from the copy of the material of your DVD. This would remove the unwanted data from it. So its possible to copy just the required data and also save storage area. Numerous people use Shrink and Decrypter concurrently. This does not load laptop computer. They use DVD Decrypter first and copy it to a folder on disk drive. Then open that folder in DVD Shrink to encode and start burning. Nero can be also used to burn DVD video.

			QUESTION:
Apple iPod Touch VS Zune HD - 2010?
For X-Mas, my mum said that my brother and I could get new MP3 players. I'm love with the one I have now, the old Zune 30gb, but I know it's time to upgrade. My brother has my old, 2nd gen. iPod nano. The poor kid got a handmedown and hates it.
So, I'm in love with the iPod Touch, but the Zune HD looks really cool too. I know there are perks with each. Price isn't really what I'm asking, but more like apps, features, etc. Which do you like better? The iPod Touch (the newest one with the camera) or the Zune HD?
I've done lots of research, but I'm not sure. Help please?

				ANSWER:
There both good, but I would personally prefer the Zune. Remember that with the I Pod, any time you download a song, you have to load it into I Tunes before you can download it on your I Pod. Plus the
I Pod's in general are considered to have inferior sound quality to the Zune players, according to web sites like Cnet.com, and other sites as well. The I pod's do have advantages as well, but I don't care for I tunes personally, because all the music is in the aac(advanced audio codec) instead of the mp3 format. So I can't take the music from an I pod and put it onto another device. Only the I Pod's use the aac format. And the deal breaker for me is that I Tunes music is copy protected, so I cant make copies and send the music to another computer or device. But this is just my opinion! You have to ultimately choose for your self, because you will get a million people telling you that one is better then the other, when in reality, it all comes down to opinion. I think you would be happy with either one personally.(Update) I decided to revisit this question after I realized that I Tunes is now Drm free. I completely forgot that they announced that they had removed the copy protection a year ago. They also updated the sound quality of there aac audio format, to sound much better. This was done because Amazon.com, had been selling mp3's that sounded better then the music I Tunes was selling. The Zune HD is Still rated as a better sounding mp3 player however. This has not changed.

			QUESTION:
iPod touch 4 gen 2010 vs Zune HD?
I have to choose a mp3 player because my iPod nano 3rd gen battery died. I like the Zune HD because of its UI and its sound quality. But i dont like that it doesnt have a camera to chat with my friends. I like the iPod touch because of facetime, in which i can chat with my friends. But i already have a iPad, which is almost the same thing but without facetime. I want to take an iPod touch or Zune HD with me on a bike to listen. Other options are also welcome. (EXECPT THE NEW IPOD NANO, WHICH SUCKS) Thank you.

				ANSWER:
I would definately suggest Apple iPod touch (4th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

Pros:
1.Wi-Fi capable Facetime (video chat with no 3G)
2.Game Center (challenge your friends play games and so much more)
3.About 50% thinner (0.28in;7.2mm)
4.Apple A4 processor chip faster than ever)
5.HD video recording
6.Retina Display (Pixels at 78 micrometers wide packing 326 pixels per inch)
7.Voice Control ( control your music with your voice)
8.iBooks (your own personal bookstore and reader)
9.iMovie (movie editing program redesigned for ipod touch)
10.Multitasking (Switch instantly between your favorite apps)
11.Folders (Make more room on your home screens for you favorite apps)

Cons:
1)More expensive than the last gen
2)Not out yet
QUESTION:
Can the Zune Software find track information?
I am using the Zune software (it's horrible! I can't figure anything out) for my music and to be synced to my zune. Here's what I've been doing:

I have two computers. One has about of iTunes music on it. The other is a new laptop. I also have a Zune. Zune Marketplace is on my laptop (I like it there). I took a ton of CD-RWs and burned my whole iTunes library onto them, then ripped them into the Zune software. It didn't find all the song information, like it should. I just calls them "Track 1", "Track 2" and so on. I clicked "Options" then "find all song info", and it said it was loading. It took about 4 seconds, then stopped. It said it was done. Believe it or not, it didn't work! Sitting there staring at me was about 140 tracks, named "Track 1" all the way to "Track 140". That isn't what I want.

Anyway, please help me. That completely ruins my music experiance.

				ANSWER:
Try uninstalling with unZoone then reinstalling. You didn't say if this is an update for you or if you are installing as a new Zune user. If you are new to Zune then double check to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements for Zune.

			QUESTION:
I'm considering buying a zune mp3 player, but one of the features that is listed I'm not sure what it is?
Best Buy lists this as being one of the many features for the zune:

Zune-to-Zune sharing allows you to wirelessly share tracks, homemade recordings, playlists and pictures with other Zune users; received tracks expire after you have listened 3 times

Is limewire efficient with zune?
What exactly does this feature do?

				ANSWER:
Limewire isnt directly compatible, per say, with the zune, but that doesnt quite matter as long as you have the mp3 and shoot it over to the zune software (provided you use it).

What the feature is, basically, is when you have two zunes together in a room, they see eachother and you can send files back and forth via wireless connection. fairly self explanatory. however, after three listens or views of the files transferred, it deletes itself off of your zune due to copyright issues and microsoft kissing up to the record companies.

			QUESTION:
Why does Zune separate my mixed albums by artist?
I have albums that I personally mixed on my PC, but when I put them on my Zune the Zune won't keep them on one album. Even when I go into Zune and give them the same artist names, it's still pulling their names off the internet. How can I get my mixed albums to stay as one album (other than making a playlist). Thanks!

				ANSWER:
It does that because you mixed them. If they were from a cd you bought from the store it wouldn't give you this problem.

Try this it works 99% of the time.
Go to My Documents>My Music>Zune. Create a folder for that album. Drag the music to that folder and delete the other folders Zune is putting it in. Then try editing the info in Zune program. This works for me when I'm importing music from cds that I've burned for individual artists..

Thanks.

				ANSWER:
Jonathan don't listen to Ɲyla the person does not know what they are talking about and that site, it's an Apple fan site and most go on and talk sh*t on Microsoft.

But i am not sure when, but does one person really need thousands of apps and most only use like 20 or so.
I don't have a Zune HD and used an iPod once and hated it.
But Zune is not dead, or else Microsoft wouldn't keep up their Zune stuff or Xbox 360 or WP7. think Ɲyla.
Just Microsoft doesn't want to be like Apple only beat and if they put out as many then most would just switch to Apple. But Zune has better stuff then an iPod does any-day.

Plus Microsoft have Zune's, Phones, Xbox 360, Video Games, Computer Software.

			QUESTION:
How to manually transfer songs to a Zune?
My girlfriend has a 8GB Zune and somehow it is set to sync itself with what music is on her laptop. So whenever she plugs it into her laptop, it erases the songs on her Zune and Zune program on her laptop, and only keeps what songs are on Widows Media Library.

How does she change the settings to stop this?

				ANSWER:
Open the Zune software and click "Settings" at the top. Then go to Device > Sync Options and choose either "Items I choose" or "Manual" so it won't remove any songs from the Zune.

The Zune HD looks great, but I'm thinking about functionality. The Zune originals have more capacity for a cheaper price, so what features separate it?

				the zune Hd does everything the other zune do and it also;
has a touch screen that is super accurate and fast to use
HD radio reciever as well as the standard FM radio
720P HD output to a HDTV
Internet browser
3-D games and apps

			QUESTION:
What is the difference between a zune pass and zune reactor?
I just bought a zune and you think they will give you some kinda instruction as to what to download for your zune!!!! Im looking for something i could purchase that will let me have music, movies, music videos all on my zune so please can you tell me what is the difference between the zune pass and zune reactor?

Or what is the best download for the zune so i can have all the features?

Thanks

				ANSWER:
I have a Zune, and really like it.

You go to the Zune marketplace to get the music for your player (leastwise music that you don't already own). It is competitive with other sites.

I like the monthly subscription service (zune Pass) that Zune offers (and iTunes doesn't) - it allows me to rent/sample music. Some people like to rent their music, and some don't. I am in the former category.

Microsoft still doesn't have the same video deals that iTunes so you won't find videos available at the Zune marketplace. There are some download sites advertising Zune compatibility. But I haven't tried them. Zune Reactor is one of them.

There is software that allows you to makes copies of personally owned DVDs that fit the Zune format - this is legal if you use it for personal use only.

Hope this helps.

			QUESTION:
How do I import songs from my Zune to my Zune software?
I rebooted my computer and lost all my music files, but they're still on my Zune. I was wondering if there was some way to get them from the Zune to my Zune software without it deleting them all.

I got them from albums and such that I didn't buy from the Zune store, so don't suggest getting them from there.

				ANSWER:
I rebooted my computer numerous times, each time I was able to put Zune songs back onto my Zune software. Here is what I do:

1. Install the Zune software if you have not already done so.
2. Plug in your Zune to the Computer via. Usb cable.
3. A message may show up if you have plugged in the Zune for the first time since you have reboot your Zune. Make sure that you say that this will be your "new home" (Zune recognizes your rebooted computer as a "different" computer.
4. After you Zune is recognized, go to devices on top of the menu screen.
5. Go to "music"
6. select all you music by screening down all you songs from beginning to end (what? is that called again when you click)
7. Right click and select "Copy to my collection"
8. Afterward, it will copy the songs to the Zune software and to the computer. Just go ahead and do something else while it syncs the songs back to the Zune software.

			QUESTION:
How do I get my pictures from my zune software to my new computer?
I got a new computer so I loaded the pics from my zune to the zune software. Now I want to get the pics from the software to the computer. How do I?

				ANSWER:
Since you transferred them to the collection they are already on your computer. To find out where on the computer they are open your Zune program and click on pictures. Find the album and click on it. Click again to open the album. Right click on one of the pictures and go to properties. It will tell you where on your computer the pictures are now saved. If you want to move them then you can copy them and paste them to whatever folder you want. Just make sure you add the folder you are moving them to to the monitored folders lists. Otherwise when you delete them from that other folder they will disappear from your collection. When you add them to a new monitored folder and sync your Zune those pictures will get resynced again.

You probably need to convert it to the correct format. Download a converter program. The program will only add files that are in the acceptable format.

These are the acceptable formats:
The Zune software will automatically search for appropriate video files, and then add the following video file types to your library:
•Windows Media Video files (.wmv)
•MPEG-4 Video files (.m4v)
•Some QuickTime video files (.mov)

			QUESTION:
Windows Media Player vs Zune Software vs Media Center?
I have 3 media options on my computer right now. I have the all purpose Media Player, the Television connecting Media Center, and the Zune compatible Zune Software. Could someone please provide the pros and cons to each maybe, and help me decide which should be my preferred choice? Thanks.

				ANSWER:
WMP -
What it does: You can play videos, listen to music, and online radio. Basically everything WINamp can do.
Doesn't recognize mac formats (i.e. .mov)

Pros: Don't really think there are any pros or cons, essentially a basic player, not as complex as iTunes, Media Center or even Zune.
Kind of the standard.

Zune -
What it does: You can play videos, listen to music, download podcast,TV shows, and music - with Microsoft points or the Zune pass.

Pros:
- Easy to use software
- Ability to allow users to order a subscription for unlimited music downloads + 10 free songs a month for the price of 15 dollars (same amount of money to buy a CD now-a-days)
- Video Marketplace has a wide variety of TV shows.
- Can connect to XBox 360 wireless-ly

Cons:
- You can't use this software to connect to any other Mp3 player.
- Subscription only doesn't allow download of full market place, some songs you may still have to buy.
- Videos not included with Subscription service.
- Doesn't recognize some Mac formats (i.e. .Mov)

Media Center:
Not necessarily the best media option in my opinion, unless you need a DVR. If you don't want the Zune as your media option go WMP, anyways here are the pros + cons

Pros:
- Very User Friendly
- When connected to your TV can double as a DVR
- Can connect to XBox 360 wireless-ly

Cons:
- Slows down computer at times
- Not compatible certain formats (i.e. .Mov)
- Cannot transfer music to + from ANY Mp3

I don't think there is a way to copy the Zune playlists. As for syncing the other stuff, I don't see any other way to sync back to the computer then manual. I have a question about my Zune and Zune Software?
I have all my songs and videos on my Zune. But I had to change my hard drive, so I don't have the songs on my computer anymore. So I cant add them to my library. Can I copy the songs and videos in my Zune to my hard drive? Because I'm afraid if I connect to my PC and open the software, it will automatically update (in this case delete) the songs. Would this happen or can I copy the songs to my computer?

				ANSWER:
I'm not real familiar with Zunes, but my brother does have one. (I own a Zen Vision: M, which I love dearly.)

But, it *should* ask/tell you if it's going to delete everything on your Zune. Just tell it not to delete anything. If you want to be on the super-safe side, just uninstall the software, and then plug in your Zune. Windows *should* recognized it at least as a removable drive, and then you could copy/paste all your stuff onto your new hard drive.

Then, right-click and select "Copy to my collection"

			QUESTION:
Is the Sansa Fuze compatible with Zune?
I'm planning on getting the Sandisk Sansa Fuze. I already know that iTunes isn't compatible with anything but the iPod, so I'm wondering if Zune is compatble? Zune as in the media player, not the portable MP3 player.
If not, what media players ARE compatible the Sansa Fuze? (Except for Windows Media Player)
Zune is both a portable MP3 player and a free music player software for your computer. In this case I am talking about the free software for the computer.

				ANSWER:
You got it all wrong.....

Zune - series of mp3/mp4 players by Microsoft
Sansa Fuze - a mp3/mp4 player by Sandisk.

itunes- manger file software
windows media player- manger file software
(they both can play music and video on your computer)

			QUESTION:
Is the song in zune marketplace as many song as Apple iTune?
I am planning to get a zune because of its zune pass, I want to know is it as many song as iTune?
One more, on the website :
Note
Some songs and albums at Zune Marketplace are only available as a purchase

What do they mean "some"songs?
Will it be lots of song I can't dowmload with Zune pass?

Thx!

				ANSWER:
It does have a TON of music, at least to me it does, and of course, they're mainly mainstream popular music.

Though the Zune is still a new guy to the market, so eventually more music will come into it.

MOST songs are downloadable. There were only a couple for me that I couldn't download. I tried out the 14-day trial of ZMP, and I liked it. There were a few songs, but not that many. Most songs worked for me.

You do have to remember, this is a music RENTAL system. That means you pay a monthly fee, to keep on using the music you download. You can't just download them, and keep it forever without paying monthly fees. It's more cheaper than buying songs individually though.

Oh, and even if you don't sync your Zune to the computer after the current ZunePass expires, they won't work anyways.

Hope this helps. E-mail/IM me for more help.

			QUESTION:
How can I import songs I purchased from Zune Marketplace into itunes?
I had a Zune and purchased a few albums off Zune marketplace. My Zune died (R.I.P.) and now I have an ipod. When I try to import the albums I purchased from Zune it says they are protected. Any advice?

				ANSWER:
well, they are protected by DRM. this usually means that they wont be able to be used by anything other than a Zune and in the Zune marketplace. your best bet is to find software that rips the DRM from the Music file. the music may also be in WMA format wich ipods dont support so it wouldnt work on you ipod anyway. should have stuck with another Zune

Q: I just got the new Moto Verizon Droid and I would like to put iTunes library onto Droid to replace my iPhone. Does anyone know how to transfer iTunes music TV shows movies to Droid? I've already tried Motorola Media Link....didnt work, I also want to transfer iPod music to Droid Milestone, any help?

A: It is the DRM (digital rights management) and media formats to blame since Motorola Droid Milestone CLIQ Rival only support non-DRM .mp3 .aac .wma .ogg .wav music and .3gp .mp4 video files; while .m4p music and .m4v novie from iTunes have DRM license protection --- the same situation with the .wma music and .wmv video movie from other online store like Windows Media Centre, Napster, Rhapsody, Nokia Music Store, Spiralfrog, Bearshare, eMusic, Puretracks, MusicGiants, CinemaNow, Movielink, Amazon Unbox, as well as the Microsoft Zune MarketPlace.

Part 1: Transfer iTunes music movie to Droid Milestone CLIQ with Motorola Media Link

Motorola Media Link is a good application to transfer iTunes music movie to Droid Milestone CLIQ, but it cant support DRM-protected files as MML's statement --- that explains why you cant use Media Link to transfer iTunes music to Droid Milestone.

Sync iTunes music movie to Droid Milestone CLIQ (MML only fits these two Moto smartphones) is a easy Drag & Drop job.

1. Mount your Motorla AnDroid Milestone phone Micro SD card to make sure Media Link can recognize it.

			QUESTION:
Zune vs Ipod Classic Question?
OK, I have an Ipod video 80g that I bought sometime prior to the release of the new Ipod video 80gb that is now concidered the Ipod Classic. I want more space for my TV shows that I have an my Ipod which is out of room. I also have a 80gb Zune that I use for my movies and that works fine. I'm debating on wether to get an 80gb zune or an 80/160gb Ipod classic. I want the ability to put in a discription for the video I put on the device Which I cant do with my Ipod but I can do with My zune which is the feature that is making me concider getting the Zune My Question is: Can you put in a discrition of the videos on the newer ipod classics. And...what do you need to hook the IPod video upto the TV? Can you still use the white cable or do you need the more expensive dock? I was told you need it for the newer Ipod videos and not the older Ipod videos. Is this true? I was told this by sales person so I want to make sure it's true.
My Question is: Can you put in a discrition of the videos on the newer ipod classics Like you can with the Zune?

				ANSWER:
thats great! you have a lot of videos! me too! i got the 30gb Microsoft Zune and i also got the 30gb Apple iPod (both got it last year). a few weeks ago, i just got the iPod Touch. when i ask the clerk in Apple store, they say i need a new cable for watching videos over the tv. there are two cables, the component or the composite. both of them are pinn-type so they have to be connected to the bottom of the iPod. now with regards to the new Microsoft Zune, i am still have not figure out how to output the video to the tv. i was browsing some cables for the Zune, no video cable found for the new Zune. so meaning to say its the same video cable you will be using for the old Zune (similar the video cable for the 30gb iPod Video).

			QUESTION:
Macs vs PC sales Statistics.?
According to sales statistics as of 2010
Which has sold more?
Which has better consumer ratings?
Yes this is about desktops/laptops. Not mp3 players Ipod>zune by far

				ANSWER:
As far as I know, Mac has never had more than 12-13% of the personal computer market. Probably because they sell outdated hardware for high prices

Apple has better than average reliability ratings, but comes in behind ASUS and Toshiba

There are a number of Zune download retailers that can be used to download Zune files. The problem is to know which one to sign up with. All these sites have music, videos, game and movie downloads. But, while all of them offer free Zune downloads, only some of them actually deliver on their promises, by giving honest, good and quality support. There are only 4 or 5 sites that do good on their promise.

Free Zune Downloads.

There isn't much of an introduction to make here, as most sites that offer free downloads aren't free, but full of spyware, viruses and pop-ups. However, if personal security isn't important to you and you want to risk having viruses and spyware on your phone, feel free to use free zune download sites. I for one would prefer using a reliable Zune download site.

As we all know, all itunes movies, musics, audiobooks and TV shows are copy protected and limited to play on most portable players other than Apple devices. If you are also a Zune user, you may be eager to know how to sync iTunes musics, videos or other medias to your Zune legally. In this article, we'd like to share 3 legal iTunes to Zune Converter tools with all Zune users.

1. Convert iTunes M4V videos to Zune

M4V file format is a standard file format for videos for iPods and PlayStation Portables developed by Apple. M4V files you purchased or rent from Apple iTunes are DRM protected. There is limitation on playing on 5 of Apple devices. So if you don't remove DRM protection from iTunes M4V videos, you are not allowed to play these videos on your other personal players like PSP, Zune, mobile phones etc.

Tune4Win M4V Converter is a professional M4V DRM removal tool which can convert iTunes purchased M4V movies to Zune formats. It enables you to convert M4V to AVI, M4V to MP4, M4V to MPEG, M4V to FLV with great quality. It supports various portable devices. So you can use it to convert M4V movies to Zune, Zune HD with few clicks.

			QUESTION:
Zune 2 vs. Ipod Classic 6th Gen. in sound quality?
I don't favor Microsoft or Apple. I only care about music and capacity. I've heard many people return their 160gb 6th generation Ipods due to poor sound quality. I have to believe some have grabbed the Zune 2 in exchange. As a producer and music lover. I strive on clarity on a level of high's, mids, and lows in harmony. Therefore, before I spend my hard earned 0 dollars. I need to know the answer to the question most people are asking. Which is better in SOUND QUALITY? Zune 2 80gb or ipod classic 160gb. This question is only for the people that have owned both. Share experiences with pros and cons. Points to details.

				ANSWER:
Truly they will both give u the same sound quality.... It really depends on the bit rate of the song. Most songs on Itunes are at 128kps, which is about CD quality, and im not sure the bit rate for music on the Zune, but if its the same bit rate, they will both produce the same sound quality....

			QUESTION:
Ipod vs Zune HD? which one better in terms of sound quality?
I'm looking for an mp3 player that really focuses on its meaning of being an mp3 player. Good sound, i want to be able to use the best headphones and not let the hardware of my mp3 player limit the quality of my music. I'm not that big on games, the ipod is loaded with apps, but i'd personally prefer the ipad for its bigger screen if i were to focus on apps. I also want to be able to plug my mp3 player into my computer, add music and go. I don't like having to wait for anything, i like the kind of mp3 where i can drag and drop music files. That way i can use my other computers and take files from that other computer too. My only concern for the Zune is that i feel that it may not be supported for very long by the company, which isn't much of a concern because in the end i just want something to play good quality music. Which mp3 player would be better? or if another company such as Sony has an mp3 player to match my needs, please tell me

				ANSWER:
I feel that the iPod is a better choice. Microsoft is probably not going to make any more Zunes, where as Apple is constantly updating their product lines. iTunes makes dragging and dropping songs very easy. I currently have a 5th gen iPod nano and I love it.

Also, the quality of the music does not really depend on the player, more on the headphones you use. The headphones that come with the player have average sound quality. If you want superb, you will have to buy higher-quality headphones.

			QUESTION:
zune hd vs ipod touch ?
is the zune hd better quality than the ipod touch ? or are they about the same ? b/c I really like the fact that you can do soo much on the ipod touch...but if the sound quality isnt good...then idk if I want it ! the only reason I was leaning more towards a zune was b/c ppl were saying that the zune is more for ppl who are focused on just music..not all the extras. but if the quality of them both is about the same...then I would rather have the ipod touch...soo are the sound qualities about the same on both ?

				ANSWER:
Buy some Sony earbuds for the Touch and you will be extremely pleased with the sounds.

			QUESTION:
zune vs ipod?
for christmas, i am considering either getting a new ipod nano or a 30gb zune.
please help me decide one, based on these facts:
-many people at my school have ipods, and i dont want to seem like a freak
-more convenient size
-sound quality
-amount of storage
-price of songs (marketplace vs. itunes)

any other things that might help me decide would be appreciated.
thanks !

				ANSWER:
Dont get a zune. As BOTH a zune AND ipod owner, I have experience with both

1. Battery Life
-Microsoft promised 30 hours audio only w/ wi-fi off. Cnet.com published results that attained 22 hours, roughly half that of an ipod classic 80 gb. I have actually tested this and I can say that cnet.com is correct

2. Got rid of the equalizer
-The zune 30 had a music equalizer and im pissed that microsoft got rid of it. Without a equalizer, your songs wont sound as good

3. Microsft (ms) points
-79 ms points=99 cents for a song. Thats confusing

4. Online store availability
-No movies or tv shows. Song selection half that of itunes. This is more important than you think

5. Exclusive online store
- Can't use other music services like napster, yahoo, rhapsody, etc. The thing that pisses me off is that these services are MICROSOFT BACKED!

6. Hard Drive
-Can't be used as an external hard-drive (complaint in the 1st generation, Microsoft didn't address this problem). Almost EVERY mp3 player has this feature

7. No clock
-This is more important than you think (Same as above)

8. No games
- This isn't really important, but the ipod has the upper hand on this one

9. Screen Resolution
- Its the same as the ipod's, but with the zune's bigger screen, anything visual on the screen will look noticebaly "fuzzy"

10. Software Updates
- Microsoft doesn't update their media player software as frequently as apple. So if something buggy goes on, you may be in the dark for months if it cannot be fixed

11. Cross- Platform Compatibility
- One of the reasons why the ipod is a seemingly invincible juggernaut is because it works with BOTH mac and pc. If you have a mac, you CANT use a zune

12. Wireless Sharing
- Can only share a song for 3 plays and then its gone

13. Accessories
-You will have a harder time finding accessories (cases, chargers, etc.)

14. Software
-It looks cooler than itunes, but it doesn't organize music as well. Thats my opinion, tho. Song ratings, editing info, and reliability were terrible for me.

			QUESTION:
Zune vs. iPod/iPhone?
I have an original 30GB Zune. I actually love it, the sound is great and the navigation is easy.

I also have an iPhone and love that too. I have noticed the Zune seems to have better sound quality.

I know the Zune is way behind the iPod in the popularity race, but I was wondering what other people think?

Do you own a Zune? What do you like.dislike?
Do you own an iPod.iPhone? What do you like/dislike?
Yes, the iPod is the ruler. And Zune will never catch up, in my opinion. But I do like my Zune, that is why I keep it around even now that I have an iPhone. The Zune serves well on long trips, the battery last longer than the iPhone. However, the iPhone can do so much more, thus sucking the battery life.

Thanks for all your comments!

				ANSWER:
I own an 8gb zune, and I love it.
First thing i thought when i began using it, was the same as you: it has good sound qualiity, and it's easy to navigate. i also liked the software because it was simple, and easy to use.
my brother got an 8gb iPod (not sure what its called, but it was a square one) around the same time. I used it for a while, and i didnt like the osund as much, and i was kind of confused with the menu button. i found it hard to navigate after using my zune. also, the iTunes software really sucked.
so, when it comes down to it, i prefer my zune over the iPod. Every single friend of mine who owns an iPod, and has seen my Zune says that they should have gotten a zune instead of the iPod.

			QUESTION:
The BIG question Ipod touch vs Zune?
2 questions.
1) Sound quality (is the difference in sound quality between the zune and the ipod touch negligible; really very obvious?
2)Which one has a better video quality?

				ANSWER:
Ive seen both, both are very good, and sound quality is negligible. Quality is the same as they use similar decoders and codecs for video. If you want better sound quality, better ear pieces will make all the difference in the world on either machine.

			QUESTION:
Which is better? Zune HD vs Ipod Touch 3rd Gen?
I've been debating on which one I should get. I was wondering if anyone can help me decide.

I am a big music lover, I need really good sound quality. That's why I am attracted to the Zune.
The apps on the touch is supposed to be amazing. That's why I am attracted to the ipod.

				ANSWER:
on the contrary....music file sound totally different on my zune HD than they do on my touch...the zune HD is very detailed and crisp, while the touch seems very washed out and heavy on the bass and treble.

itunes music is coded at 256kbps, zune music is encoded at 320kbps, so zune music has the edge right there.

if you are a music lover, get the HD....the touch will disappoint you greatly if you get it for mainly music. the HD lets you find new artists quickly and easily, plus /month gets you UNLIMITED music downloads.

and the zune has some good apps, you just have to get them from 3rd parties....just some notable games are labrynth, project gotham racing, audiosurf tilt, a tetris clone, a game boy emulator, DOOM, bunch of card games, chopper, reversi, minsweeper, and beanstalk tale (really great and adicting 3rd party app)

			QUESTION:
Zune hd vs Ipod touch?? HELP?
Ok, I either want a Zune hd, or a ipod touch. I don't really really need the apps that apple offer. And I know the Zune has better sound and display quality. But everyone has the ipod, and they seems really happy with it. Which one should i get??? Also, does anyone know if the Zune is gonna get more apps? And maybe ones that don't have an ad every time you play them??? Thanks
Oh. Sorry. But I know the ipod has lots of apps. But not all of them are usefull. How many fart apps do you need? And i will NOT be going on the internet on either one...

				ANSWER:
Of course the zune is gunna get more apps, it only has so few cuz it came out just last month. The zune has much better screen quality, sound quality is mostly the same (theres really no way you could tell a difference without some kind of robotic aid), and the zune is smaller. The zune also comes with HD radio that doesn't require you to be in a wifi hotspot like the ipod does. iPod has a moderately faster web browser, and comes with a speaker on the device unlike the zune which requires headphones. Basically, it depends on what you think looks better, and which company you support more: Microsoft=Zune, Apple=iPod. People usually say that the zune is overall (other than fewer apps, a slightly slower web browser, and the lack of a speaker) better device than the iPod.

			QUESTION:
ZUNE HD VS IPOD TOUCH 3G/4G?
So here's a poll on which of these has the better strength in music quality. I have both a Zune HD and an ipod touch 3G. My friend who is an Apple fanboy thinks that ipods are #2 in music quality, I was like hell no. Because I downloaded the same files for both players and the Zune plays music way better. So guys help me out here and vote for either in sound/music quality wise and from your own experience of owning both of them before.

				ANSWER:
The Zune and the iPod are very similar in comparison, in my personal opinion I have an iPod but my cousin has a Zune and the Zune is WAY better. The sound quality is better but I think the handling or the way you control a Zune is alot easier. I don't know exactly on moving all your iTunes songs to your Zune..but I know just much as people with iPods need iTunes...people with Zune need the Zune program..
QUESTION:
iPod touch 4 gen 2010 vs Zune HD?

QUESTION:
Zune HD mp3 320kb vs Ipod Touch 4G Apple Losless?
What sounds better using the same earphones? Or generally which one has better quality?

				ANSWER:
In terms of audio quality, a Mp3 encoded at a bit rate of 320kbps will sound 1 to 1 with a CD to human ears. That's not to say that the CD doesn't sound better then the 320kbps Mp3 though, because the CD does in fact sound better. It's just that are hearing is not good enough to pick out the superior CD sound. The Zune HD is well known to have better audio quality then the i Pods, due to it's superior audio chipset. So even if the i Pod is using the Aiff lossless format which is the same as Wav for the PC, it is not going to sound as good as the 320kbps Zune HD. But don't for get that the Zune does support a wider range of audio formats then the i Pods. The Zune HD will play back Wma, Wma pro, Wma lossless, AAC/m4a, and Mp3. So the Zune can play songs that were bought on the i Tunes store for example. You would just have to copy the song from i Tunes to a folder on your computer, or Windows Media Player. Now i Pods in turn, cant play Wma files of any kind. A Zune HD will also play back both MP4 video, and WMV video.

i Pods are geared for the average consumer who looks at having a device with unlimited app support. While audiophiles tend to prefer the Zunes.

Windows Media Player by the way, will rip Cd's into Wma lossless by the way. (Which the Zune HD does support.)

Note: i Tunes will convert Wma into AAC that the i Pod will understand, but unfortently it does cause a slight loss in audio fidelity. Audiophiles tend to look down on this process.

Also, there are multiple lossless audio codecs that do exist. The Zune HD can handle Wma lossless, while the i Pod can handle Apple lossless (ALAC) or also known as Apple lossless audio codec. Now all lossless audio codecs are eaqual to each other in terms of sound quality. The only difference is that some lossless codecs support compression, while others don't. Also some are exclusive to either PC or Mac. (But all are 100% true lossless.)

Here is a small list of the most popular lossless audio codecs that do exist.
AIFF, WAV, ALAC, FLAC, and WMA LOSSLESS.

			QUESTION:
Sony X Walkman vs. Microsoft Zune HD?
I'm so over the iPod Touch and can't wait until these two products come out. But I'm only getting one and they both feature extraordinary new cool features. I like Sony's great sound quality(especially compared to iPods) and I like the Zune's new HD radio. Does the Zune have good sound quality? Better than the iPod touch? Which one would you choose? Why?

				ANSWER:
They both have really cool features, but I haven't seen anyone review a production model of either player yet. I like that the Sony X series has the built-in noise canceling technology along with a Slacker Radio and youtube app built right in to the interface. They also seem to have the best battery life ratings for their players and the sound quality is always great. I'm not cure what the sound quality is like on the Zune, but the HD radio feature is pretty cool. I don't remember if the Z series has an OLED screen like the Zune or not, but the Zune's screen looks really nice and bright. They also haven't released pricing for the Zune yet, and I'm really curious to know what that will be. The Sony player is priced right along with the iPod Touch I believe. From what I've seen of the two players so far, I would lean toward the Sony X series, but the Zune looks pretty cool as well. I'd have to wait and see pricing and try them both out before I could decide.

			QUESTION:
Ipod vs. Iphone - 10 points to best answer?
I need a new music player, traditional MP3s just aren't doing it for me (both seem to have the same problem of audio not coming out of the right ear piece.. When I turn the headphone jack, I can sometimes get the sound to come back through the right ear piece. It has happened to both my MP3s, I tested multiple headphones. Anyway, I can no longer jog with it when this issue occurs) So I am ready to buy an Ipod or Zune. Due to very similar prices, I am leaning towards an Ipod, mainly because of all the other features it has.

It just so happens my contract with ATT has ended, so I can pick up an Iphone 8 gig for 50 bucks, which is essentially an Ipod, but larger and is a phone. It seems like the choice is obviously to get the Iphone.
*******
Anyway, my real question is, how does the sound quality of the Iphone compare to the Ipods, and how durable is the Iphone, is it safe to keep in my pocket while jogging? (Humidity, plus bouncing, it wont fall out though.)

				ANSWER:
I would suggest the Iphone, only due to the fact that it serves more than 1 purpose. But I'm in the military and currently in Iraq, I took my Iphone with me and I have had no problems, I run with it out here, take it to the gym and workout and yet it still works. As you know the temp out here ranges from extremely hot to cold and like I said, it still works. I know other Soldiers that crossed over and either bought Iphones once they went on leave just for the music purpose and others that have bought the Ipod's because their previous MP3 player failed to work out here. So once again I would highly suggest the Iphone. Also remember to get a case to protect either your Iphone or Ipod, that way if you do drop it by accident your screen and phone will be protected.

			QUESTION:
Why do people say apple is better than microsoft?
Zune > Ipod
Windows 7 > Leopard

Why do people say ipods are better. The original Zune from all the way back in 2006 can download from zune marketplace straight from the device. It has games and can play wirelessly with other devices. It has a nicer interface and you don't have to deal with the iTunes program or its crappy store. It also has a better sound card, which means it has better audio quality. Let's see the ipod video do any of that?

The new Zune HD is a better music player than the iPod and has a faster Processor. It also has a nice screen. An iPod touch camera is useless when you have an nice camera already. The only thing good about iPod touch's is the retina display. The screen resolution is nice.

Windows 7 is a better operating system than Leopard. It crashes less often, (if you don't believe me look it up on google), and is more secure (look up "pwn2own hacking competition mac" if you don't believe me on that too). In this competition it took only 10 seconds to hack a mac pro and 2 days to hack windows 7, only after the rules where changed. Where did those mac vs. pc commercials go? They took them down because they were mostly lies. Apple wanted to sue Microsoft for making those "laptop hunter" ads where microsoft claimed that there was no sub 00 apple laptop. But they really said that there was only one laptop and it had a small screen. They accused microsoft of lying since there is a 9 laptop when they did mention this.

Also Microsoft has better customer support, more computer options, more hardware choices, and much cheaper prices. Do people just assume iPods are better since they are a 'cool' brand? Most iPod and Zune owners clearly state that Zune is better. Do most rich people only use Mac because it is more expensive?

Also Sony Vegas > FCP
Also you have more control over windows 7.

Macs also suck for gaming.

Do they think you're retarded since you need an app store for downloading programs.... really?

				ANSWER:
I have a Zune(the first one so its pretty thick) and the sound quality is 100 times better than the ipod

yes you can save previously downloaded music to the zune.

The newer model zunes are as thin as the ipods now so they are not that thick and all. The coating on them allows you to touch all over them without leaving behind fingerprints.

The only difference between zune and ipod right now is the FM tuner.

The zune marketplace is okay, I never use it because I stal music from Shareaza.

the clarity on the Zune screen is very bright and clear and is bigger than the ipods screen so its easier to watch movies.

the zune battery on the older models do not last as long as the ipods so be wary of that.

Zunes are cheaper as well.

They treat you as retarded since you now have an app store for a computer, how lame?

				ANSWER:
I have the Zune HD (32GB), and believe it to be better in sound then the iPod Touch. I wanted an mp3 player, not a portable game player. The only downside is that the Zune HD has no internet radio application, but I'm hoping that will change.

I still appreciate Apple and Apple products (I have an old Apple IIe in storage, and an iPod mini), but don't go for something based on hype.

Taking on some good advice on which Zune download site is the best out there may not be helpful enough for you. As there are a lot of download sites established, it can be really such a pain to go through them one by one. Chances are, you might even end up on something that you’ll regret in the long run. So what better way to have a better idea on which Zune download site to go to, here are reviews of some of the top download sites for your Zune gadget.

IZune Access

Talk about a huge amount of available files for download. IZune access is the place to be for all your file download needs. Membership fee applies for the services but you’ll get to feel that it will all pay off with all the good stuff you’ll be able to get. At IZune access, worries of limited downloads and bandwidth is not an issue . You can even access the files for download anytime you want to. For .95 it would be an impossible scenario that you won’t be able to find that song that continues to play on your mind.

Zune Reactor

Following next to the footsteps of IZune Access is the Zune reactor. Cost wise, this download site costs more than the previous download site. Is it worth something to go for? Actually, it is. Zune reactor has become more popular among Zune player owners as it houses quality downloadable files like Zune movie download. Not to mention, HD quality movies. Should you choose to become a member of this download site, you’ll be able to make use of their spyware removal software that comes in for free.

Zune Cyclone

With a very reasonable membership price of .95, you’ll be able to enjoy some good quality Zune movie download, even music, videos, games, and a lot more. If you are not that satisfied with their service and what they offer, Zune cyclone has a money back guarantee.

Zune Video Pro

As the name of the download site goes, Zune video pro is considered to be one of the popular sites to have your Zune movie download. Its membership price is the same with Zune cyclone but it focuses mainly on videos for Zune player owners that love to watch sports. The only downside to this download site is that the price itself may not be exhausted to its fullest as it focuses more on video downloads alone.

So which among these popular Zune download sites is your top pick? With all these information and reviews handed down, choosing the one that works best for you wouldn’t be that difficult anymore. Aside from that, consider that all these download sites, though different from each other in terms of feature still meets on the same end; all of which offers unlimited downloads. So whether you’re choosing one than the other, chances of you making a wrong choice worth regretting is very rare. Know what you want for your Zune player and you’ll know which one to point your finger to.

			QUESTION:
Zune HD Vs Ipod Touch 4G? (strictly Media Experience comparison)?
I know this question has been asked in one form or other, but let me put a disclaimer first so we don't go off-base - I've owned an iPod Touch (2nd Gen) for a couple years so i know all about the variety of apps on the ipod touch/iphone and on the Touch 4th gen, it actually has a camera too unlike the Zune HD- but I have a smartphone with those features so I don't really care for that on my media player - I'm more interested in my media experience. I recently lost my iPod touch and my choices for replacement are another ipod Touch (4th Gen) and Zune HD. This is the first time I'm even considering a microsoft product for my entertainment but I'd like to hear thoughts on the actual music (and pod-cast, radio, audio-book) experience on the Zune HD vs the iPod touch, preferably from someone who's used both. I used the "Genius" feature a lot on the iPod to generate my songlists, heard the Zune has a similar feature called "Smart-DJ" - how well does it compare? I had a chance to play with a zune HD at a bestbuy and was blown away by the GUI, but I'd like to know just how much of a competitor it is to the iPod (media-wise). Also, I listen to podcasts a lot, I heard the zune is abit annoying when dealing with podcasts - anyone have any thoughts on this?
PS - Also need to know how well the Zune deals with AudioBooks - I heard it doesnt differentiate between audiobooks and other music files?

				ANSWER:
Get the Zune HD for a superior media experience. Most tech reviewers will tell you the Zune has the better, more focused media capabilities. You can output full HD to t.v.'s (something the touch won't and probably won't ever be able to do.) Having both the iTunes and Zune software, I can say the Zune software handles podcasts just fine, even better than iTunes. Also, the Zune HD does have apps, albeit there are just a handful, compared to Apple's store. The Smart-DJ function also blows the so called Genius function out of the water.

I am slightly biased towards the Zune here, but I do own a Zune 80, and an older generation ipod nano. So I have both iTunes and Zune software.

			QUESTION:
I-Pod vs Zune?
Ok, so I just bought one of those new 30GB Microsoft Zune digital media player, but i'm not sure anymore if i should have bought an I-Pod Video (also 30GB). When i decided to buy the Zune, the guy at the store made it sound like it was way better than the I-Pod, but i'm just not sure.

Can someone plz tell me which one of the two, I-Pod Video or Zune, is better in terms of quality, performance and also better for downloading songs? I would really appreciate it , thx .

				ANSWER:
I think that they are about the same when it comes to quality. But i think that the zune is pretty cool. You can share music and pictures to your friends with an infared ray.. thats pretty cool.. but the onlky thing that I detest is that they delete any songs that aren't played within three days. Rather retarded... I'dke to keep my songs until I delete them myself...

				ANSWER:
In quality they are both the same, except the Zune is new and has a good chance of being problematic, like almost all new tech-gadgets. The ipod has been around since 2001 and the video has been out over a year, meaning that apple has fixed all the ipod problems. I terms of performance, they both are great and have great features. The ipod will have a little better performance. The ipod has the easiest way to download songs because the itunes music store is so massive and has so much material. Plus you can always use limewire for downloading. The ipod is the best of the two, in my opinion. Hope this helps.

			QUESTION:
Zune 30 Gig Vs. 8 Gig Zune?
I have seen the 30 gig zunes very cheap like around 0 and the 8 gig for around 0 is their a reason these are so much cheaper but still have larger memory. what are the differences??? the exact ones i'm talking about are http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Microsoft-Zune-30GB-Digital-Media-Player-Black-882224274579/sem/rpsm/oid/165773/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do for the 30 Gig and http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Microsoft-Zune-4GB-Digital-Media-Player-Black-882224519793/sem/rpsm/oid/194135/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do the 30 gig isnt the price i was talking about but i had seen some that price just couldnt remember were. so if yall know what makes them more or less expencive please tell me txs.

				ANSWER:
it's simply because the generation... the 30gig you are looking at is the 1st generation zune and the 8gig is the 2nd gen there should also be a second gen 30gig released soon if not already. i imagine the 2nd gen has more functionality but the price is mainly because it's newer.

			ipod vs. zune HELP!!!?
I am looking to get a music player with no less then 120GB. I have it narrowed down to the IPOD classic and the Zune.

Do either have a significant load time with any function?

				ANSWER:
I have a Zune; first and foremost, do not listen to the people who say ipods are better. Zunes work just as well, if not better than ipods.

1. Yes; you just drag your music onto the Zune software or you can change your settings so that your software picks up ALL music on your computer. You can burn or take songs off of a CD if you like.

2.As for playlists I am not 100% because I do not make playlists; you should go to zune.net to check.

3. My Zune typically lasts for two or three days when I forget to charge it; which is all the time.

4. Different Zunes work differently. I have the the 80GB and I can just softly run my finger over the navigating button and t goes up, down, or sideways. There are three buttons. The navigating button in the middle, and the back button on the left and the play or pause button on the right.

5. Zunes do not have a load time. They come on automatically.

If you have anymore questions you can just ask me. If you do decide to get a Zune, add me on the Social!

I forgot to mention, with a Zune you get something called a Zune card. If displays your music, etc. You get awards for the certain amount of music you listen to etc. Here is mine

http://social.zune.net/member/Helloyellowbird

Have fun! CHOOSE THE ZUNE. Be different for a change And if you do, get a Zune Original!

TO THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP SAYING THE ZUNE IS NEW; IT IS NOT. It has been out for a couple of YEARS. There are NO PROBLEMS with the Zunes. There are NO ERRORS and NO I have NEVER had a problem with my Zune and I have dropped it repeatedly on the floor. If you're the type of person that is clumsy, do not get the ipod because the screen is made out of plastic and scratches easily. Zunes are made to be DURABLE. The back is metal and the screen is THICK glass. You do not know how many times I have dropped it on the sidewalk or wooden floors and I still looks brand new. STOP SPREADING LIES ABOUT ZUNES.

				ANSWER:
RT, my name is Rick and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. I can tell you some of the Features that make Zune an excellent choice. The Zune comes in 120gig version and will play Music, Video, Photos and everything you would expect from a Portable Media Player. One of the biggest advantages would be the built in FM tuner, this allows you to listen to radio as well as your music collection. If you’re a commuter like I am, than you can get your favorite local radio news or morning show on the same device. As a bonus the Zune allows you to tag songs you like that you have heard on the radio for download later. The Zune also allows for Wireless sync with your PC or Xbox and transfer you music without ever having to plug it in. You can also sync with other Zune owners and share music with anyone within your area that has a Zune. And in your case I am sorry but you do have to download the Zune software to manage your music. But it works easily and imports all your music files automatically if you wish into the Zune software. Probably the best option that the Zune offers is the Zune Pass, which is similar to Itunes as it allows you to download and purchase songs, but takes it a step farther and lets you access to any song on the Zune Market place for one small monthly fee to keep and hold on your Zune as long as you’re a member. It is like borrowing an entire music archive. Let me know if you have more specific questions.
QUESTION:
more questions: Ipod vs. Zune?
I have been wanting to upgrade to a video model and I'm torn between wanting a zune and sticking to Ipod. These are my questions to help me decide, I will give anyone who has the most information best answer:

1. I have been researching Zune and it says that it comes with pre-loaded songs? If you connect it to the computer, does it erase the songs or does it put it on the computer?

2. Is it true you can use Windows media player to put songs on Zune?

3. When you plug it into your computer, does it charge Zune like Ipod does?

4. What are your reasons for buying either Ipod or Zune?

5. Are there other brands you prefer?

I'm looking for a model that plays WMV. movies, has a nice screen, and has other features such as Zune and Ipod.

Thanks everyone!

				ANSWER:
1) The Zune has about 5-10 songs and videos pre-loaded on it. When you connect the Zune to the computer NOTHING happens the songs stay on the Zune

2) NO. You have to use Zune Software to put songs on the Zune

3) Yes

4) iPod: It's the easiest to use. Zune: It's better than the iPod.

5) None.

If you want a player that plays .WMV videos you MUST get the Zune, the iPod does NOT suppert WMV.

			QUESTION:
Ipod Vs. Zune: What do I choose?
Well, the other day, my 8GB Ipod Nano mysteriously started working again after 6-8 months. Of course, this also means I now own a 8GB Zune and 8GB Ipod Nano. Awesomeness!

Anyway, i'm debating on whether or not my next media player purchase will be a zune or a ipod. The main thing i'm wanting is size. And no, i'm not looking for an Ipod Touch or Zune HD, so that's out of the question.

The Ipod had a 160GB model, but is that worth the money, or are the 10 Models for the Ipod and Zune better?

				ANSWER:
I, on the other hand, perfer the Zune 120. The screen is bigger, it has a radio, (IMO)the software and interface is better, wifi support for songs off marketplace straight from the zune, and better customization (ie zune originals). The only reason I see not to get it is if you have 160gb of media, want a lot of accessories, or just want to blend in. Zune originals is a custom engraved zune.
QUESTION:
Ipod Video vs. Zune 120?
I use to have an ipod video, and it worked OKAY for me, although I did have many problems with it over time, until I lost it. And now I want to buy something with a different look, and not just buy an ipod because everyone else has it. Many people are saying that ipod is better, just because apple is more known, and not many people know what a zune is, but many of these people have never had a zune, and have only had experience with an ipod, so they can't really say which one is better since they've only had experience with one of the two. what do you think?

also, i have a few questions:
1. is the ipod video just as fat as the zune 120 (thickness)?
2. can you use music that you have downloaded from limewire to add to your zune, or do you only have to pay the 15 bucks per month to buy the music?
3. do you have to use windows media player to sync for the zune, or does it have its one seperate program like itunes for ipods?

thankyou!

				ANSWER:
1. the ipod 120GB is thinner and a little shorter than the Zune 120.

2. you can use music downloaded from frostwire, limewire, amazon ect...it does not need to be downloaded from the zune marketplace. and the /month is an option...not manditory so you know...they also have buy by the track/album options like itunes has

3. Zune uses the Zune software which is very nice looking...a bit of a memory hog but not terrible...my old computer has no problems running it.

I love my Zune 120GB....i have lots of movies on my zune to fill up the space and watching them on that tiny 2.5" ipod screen would be terrible...the 3.2" zune screen is massive compaired to the ipod screen. you also get better sound quality, more supported formats, better build materials, wireless marketplace, wireless zune to zune sharing, and wireless syncing....overall it is a better product....even Cnet agrees....the zune 120GB won the "prize fight" thing they do.

i'm considering the ipod 5th gen. nano, zune, or some other type of mp3 player. problem is, i dont know much about them, i'd like to find one that can be docked to listen to... do u have to pay for itunes with ipod, because i have songs on my computer with windows media that i usually use.. thanks

				ANSWER:
I say the ZuneHD, it has HD playback, an beautiful 3.1" OLED touchscreen, HD radio, Internet Explorer for internet browsing. Games, Music, Videos, Pictures, Apps, you name it. They are available in 16 (up to 4000 songs) and 32 GB (up to 8000 songs) models. They are priced at 9 and 9 for the two models.

Since you mainly use Windows Media Player (WMP), it will be very easy to switch from WMP to the Zune software since they both use the same file formats and etc.

If you go with the iPod all your music will have to be converted to ACC or MP3 to play on an iPod, with a Zune you wont have to do that.

			QUESTION:
Zune vs. iPod question?
My friend wants either an Ipod or a Zune but she doesn't have a computer and wants to use mine to add songs to it. From what I understand about Ipod, it will sync to iTunes when updated, so the files must remain there or be taken off the iPod. I don't really want all her files on my computer at all times when she won't even update it that often. Does it work like that?

I used to have an old, generic mp3 player that you could simply add and delete mp3 files either through drag and drop or adding and deleting them using windows media player, and are therefore more independent of the files on the computer. What mp3 players out there now are more similar to this? Would a Zune do this, or would it be like the iPod?

				ANSWER:
You don't have to keep all her songs with an iPod nor with a Zune, as long as iTunes or the Zune software is set to manually sync rather than auto-sync. I wouldn't assume, either, she won't be using your computer that often. If anything goes wrong with a player like these, she will be back on your computer wanting to put all those songs back on again, for example. Things go wrong with iPods all the time, and one thing I hate about Zunes is how even on manual sync sometimes songs end up deleted from my player (I think this is because of the Zune software, not the player, as the original Zune software never deleted songs from my player unless I wanted it to). Also, unless she buys a wall charger, she might want to use your computer to charge her player.

The kind of mp3 player out there that is just drag-and-drop are flash-based mp3 players. So, she could do an internet search for flash-based ones, which means they are almost like usb flash drives that happen to play music. I know there are Sansa mp3 players like this, because I looked specifically for that kind of player to buy for my father since they're way easier to use in all aspects than Zunes, iPods and other non-flash players. I got him a Sansa Clip. Zunes nor iPods are flash-based, so you have to use their software to put songs on.

			QUESTION:
Zune vs. Sansa View vs. Others?
I'm looking to get a new media player, and can't decide which.

Here's what I'm looking for:
I want lots of space, bare minimum 8GB
I want a decent screen for video playback.
I want it to be compatible with a subscription based music pass (e.g. Zune Pass, Rhapsody)
Price is DEFINITELY a factor.

I'm leading towards the Zune because of the ability to download songs directly from the Zune, but the Sansa View has a bigger screen. The Sansa is alot cheaper as well. I'm also considering a hard-drive based Zune, but they are really expensive. I'm in the sub-0 market.

So the question is Zune (8or16GB) with ZunePass. or SansaView (8or16GB) with Rhapsody, or another one with Rhapsody etc.

Zune Pass or Rhapsody? Which is better.

				ANSWER:
Seems how price and screen size are you two biggest concerns, go with the cheaper mp3 player that has a bigger screen. Sounds like you want the SansaView. Personally, I'd go with the 16gb.

			QUESTION:
Zune vs iPod Touch for me?
They are both pretty even, and I kind of want a Touch more except it has limitations. I want to use my media player to play videos and various shows. I loathe iTunes, but I guess I could get used to it.

My question is how fast is sync'ing to the iPod touch? How much space would be sufficient for me if I get a Touch? Money is kinda a problem, and 8gb touch = 120 gb zune, I think I could go as high as 16 gb for the touch.

Opinions?

Seems pretty unanimous. What is the sync times like? I have over 3 TB of video so I know I can't fit it all on. =P I would like to minimize the amount of time syncing, or at least keep whole series of a show on my touch. What size would you reccommend?

				ANSWER:
I think you should go with the touch. I have the touch and it is excellent! I love itunes the syncing time is incredible, and it has a nice sleek design. I have two movies 160 songs and 7 or 8 music videos on my 8gb and I still have room to go.

			QUESTION:
Zune HD vs. Ipod Touch?
Which media player is better? Rate on....

*Apps
*Music playback
*Video playback
*Customization
*Interface

				ANSWER:
Apps
- There are thousands of apps available on iTunes for the iPod Touch whereas there are only about forty for the Zune HD so far. Every single app for the Zune HD is free, but you have to pay for many of the apps on iTunes.

Music playback
- The Zune HD seems to have better audio quality than the iPod Touch but the difference probably isn't that noticeable if you're just using the stock earbuds.

Video playback
- Although the iPod Touch has a slightly larger screen, the Zune HD's OLED screen has a much clearer and brighter display which make it better for watching videos.

			QUESTION:
music vs computer?
i had an ipod and was using Itunes, but im going to be getting a Zune and need to move all my music form Itunes to Windows media player. i change it so Windows player was my default so it move mabey 1/3 of my music to the program, but or the life of me i cant move the rest can anyone help?

				ANSWER:
well first off you dont want to move it to windows media player... you need to move it to the Zune Media Player, which comes with your zune, or download it from zune.net.

and then you need to make sure your files are in mp3 format(or WMA), just not AAC. iTunes does a great job of converting files btw.

So go into the zune software and change your monitored folders to the ones where your music is stored and just let it add on its own...

			QUESTION:
Zune or Ipod: owners opinions!?
You have one, I'm looking for one. I just don't know which one. So Specs aside, because I read all the specs, you tell me what you think. Your opinion, bias or not, I don't care; I want it. What you love, what you hate, what's missing, what's not. What sucks? What's great? I want it all. I wanted a special edition Ipod, it's not longer in production (Harry Potter) and now I want what I can swing with. I have an Xbox 360, I have Windows media, and I have Itunes. Tell me what's worth my money. Hook me up with the dirt!

Any questions for me and I will update to give you what ever info on me you need to help me make this decition. State your arguement with passion, sell me on your MP3 player. The company have had their say now I want to hear from real people.

			QUESTION:
ipod vs. zune HELP!!!?
I am looking to get a music player with no less then 120GB. I have it narrowed down to the IPOD classic and the Zune.

I am not going to be using any videos or pictures so these do not factor into the equation.

All of my CDs have been loaded onto my computer using windows media player.

1. Can my library be transferred from windows media player directly to the ipod or zune?
If not, can the library be transferred to itunes-zune software or do I have to burn all of my CDs Again to itunes-zune software?

Can I transfer my play-lists from windows media player to the ipod-zune or to itunes-zune software?

How long do the batteries typically last? Are they easily replaced?

Which is easier to use? (menu navigation, scrolling through songs)

Do either have a significant load time with any function?

ANY help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

				ANSWER:
1. Directly to Zune, yes. iPod and iTunes don't support WMA though, they use the inferior AAC.

I think iTunes will convert some, but it won't be like the original. It's better to put it on a CD and rip.

2. You can't transfer playlists to either, sorry.

3. I think the Zune battery lasts longer than the iPods. Neither are easily replacable.

4. I find the Zune's method is much quicker. It uses a neat crossbar UI so it's easy to jump across areas in the Zune's interface. The iPod Classic can lag a bit.

5. Neither have a significant load time.

Overall, I'd just recommend the Zune.

				ANSWER:
Zune HD is an excellent music and video player. The format of the menu and screen saver makes you enjoy the music more not only from a listening point but from a visual also, there are pictures and bio you could read from each artist or band (mostly all). The interface is quick and easy to use, the OLED screen is to die for, the video quality is exceptional.

Only bad thing (to ipod people), there are not that many apps, but they are working on it (iPod did not have that much apps when they came out with the touch)...to me I don't care about apps, don't need 1,000 apps on my player...

Overall if you want a great music and video player, try out the Zune HD....

			QUESTION:
Zune HD Vs. Itouch?????????
i have an itouch. ive had it about 2 years and it has a scratch down the screen and the lock button is broke. i wanted a new nano until i found out you cannot browse the internet on it. so should i get a Zune HD? its cheaper than an itouch and i like that. so compare??? would the zune be good for the price? thanks(:

				ANSWER:
Sure, the Zune is a great device that sometimes conquers the iPod that it can't do. But with the lack of most things that the Zune line doesn't have and the iPods have is a sure bummer. Now, I'm going to tell you the importance of both. With the Zune HD, you could listen to music from both your library and the radio, stunningly, watch videos and look at pictures with it's OLED screen, but with the lack of apps, and the sluggish browser, is kind of a bummer. But with the low prices, these line of devices are a good deal.
With the iPod Touch, you could do that, but without the OLED screens (not sure), but with tones of apps in the app store, and with the lightning fast browswer, you can't go wrong with that, if you want to pay more for your device.

So the bottom line is that, if you want your device is just to listen to music, watch videos, you would want the Zune, but if you want your device to have a speedy browser, and lots of apps, you would want the iPod Touch.

Hope this helps!!!

			QUESTION:
Zune HD vs iTOUCH What do you prefer?
I'm torn between the two, honestly I was always a ZUNE person, I had the first Zune at release, and LOVE the ZUNE software. (Really is wayyyy better) Also the game function sounds cool but has yet to actually materialize.

But the shitload of apps for iTouch, and it actually makes the Zune HD look tiny, make me feel like theres just something missing from the ZUNE HD....and if I put a bunch of movies on it like before, I'd prefer the larger iTOUCH screen.

			QUESTION:
Which touch screen mp3 ? Zune HD vs iTouch ?
Soo I was going to get an iTouch this summer, maybe sometime in August, then I just find out Zune going to come out with a touch screen ! sept 8 is the date, and I don't mind waiting. But the question is, is it worth it ? I wanted the iTouch mainly for the cool games, like the ones you move the screen for and also tap tap. So will the Zune have cool games like these ? Interacting with the screen ?
Also the iTouch doesnt have radio I don't think while the zune does...
They both have wifi
Which ones better ?
is the zune just a great music player ?
because i want something to keep me busy & entertained when im bored...

				ANSWER:
it all really depends on what you're looking for in an mp3/pmp player.

personally. the ipod is a waste of time for me. i don't care about the apps, games, or all that other garbage on it; i have a cellphone that does all that stuff.

if you strip all that stuff off the ipod touch, you pretty much get the zune. BUT the zune comes with hd support, and and OLED screen which will give you a longer battery life in the long run. the verdict is still out on the sound quality. but from what i've experienced, anything is better than and ipod.

the user interface on the zune looks alot better than the ipod. and its got a monster processor, so you can expect games. i dont think there's bluetooth on the zune, but i hate bluetooth anyways; its just one more thing you have to plug in and charge. there's HD radio on the zune, which will most likely catch on in the next few years. the wifi is pretty much standard nowadays. i prefer the zune.

so, it all really depends on what you're looking for.

			QUESTION:
Apple itouch vs. Zune HD?
basically which is better? I looked at many reviews on different websites and they all basically showed that the Microsoft Zune HD is better but I would like your opinion please. Also it would be helpful if you gave evidence to support your answer.

				ANSWER:
Most reviewers have never used both so you won't find users who can give a fair review of anything but the one that they own and then they slam the other. For someone who has never used either, you therefore can't really make an educated choice based on reviews but rather only on specs and prices. Factoring in both specs and prices, the Zune HD, being an HD display looks like the better choice at first glance. If you go one step further and consider that HD content that is only compatible with the Zune HD, you also need to factor in that HD content is much more expensive than SD AND that HD files are as much as three times the size of SD. At that point, it's not possible to even compare the prices of comparable capacities because the Zune HD would have to be roughly three times that of the iPod Touch. Or the alternative would be to only use SD content on the Zune HD, in which case you're paying for a display that isn't going to be used to potential. And, of course, the apps are a big part of what makes any wi-fi enabled device. While there are loads and loads of useless stupid apps for the iPod Touch and many free ones, at least the choices are there.

			Zune HD VS Itouch help?
birthday is in 2 weeks and i want one of these two. help me decide which one should i get?

				ANSWER:
It isn't too reliable to go with what people say online considering most people have jumped on the Apple bandwagon and obviously everyone is going to tell you to get the iTouch. I have the Zune 30g and I personally love it. It is also still in extremely good condition after having it for nearly 3 years (I know, it's not the HD). Honestly though, go with what features you prefer to have in an mp3 player because you will definitely find a lot more applications for the iTouch while on the other hand the Zune HD has the HD radio and I like the way the Zune Pass works. Go with your true instinct.

				ANSWER:
if you are planning on playing lots of games, get the touch, but beware, the battery life sucks when doing this...it seriously lasts like 3 hours if that.

if you are going to watch movies and listen to music more with the occational game, get the zune HD.

i have both, i rarely use the touch but i dont have much time for games....the HD does support 3rd party games/apps so there are about 120+ total to choose from...nothing compared to the touch, but they are still fun and all are free, so thats good.

			QUESTION:
Zune HD vs current itouch?
im not much of a fan of apple. ive owned the itouch previously and it was too bulky and i just didnt like it. I heard the zune has great video for movies, and great sound quality, hd local radio, and 14.99 a month unlim music DL. now i use my phone for apps, so the lack of apps from zune doesnt bother me. plus ive heard its a bit lighter, smaller, and battery lasts a bit longer. I also dont mind that there is not external speaker source like the itouch, but thats fine with me as i will be using headphones.
besides your story about the battery (sorry to hear about that) hows the overall experience with the zune? thanks, all feedback appreciated!!
QUESTION:
Apple iTouch vs Microsoft Zune?
Which do you think is better price-wise. I can get a 80gb zune for the same price as a 8gb iTouch. But which do you think is the better value. I wont need 80 gbs but that is the one after 16 and I would prefer that one out of the zunes. The iTouch obviously has a lot less space for videos which I was hoping to put on there, but the ability to go on the internet is awesome and I would use that a lot. So what do you guys think is the better value?

			QUESTION:
Zune HD (16) vs. iTouch (8)?
Besides the app store, which is better? I don't want a one word answer. If you want 10 points, you tell me WHY one is better.

				ANSWER:
See you said beside the App store, which as an Zune HD owner I will say the Zune hardly has.

Now for everything else I will give you a comparison of both players by several key factors. Music Quality, Video Quality, User Interface, and Overall Quality.

Now when It comes to Music, the iPod Touch seems to care more about its apps then its sound quality. The Zune totally beats the iPod with sound quality.

For Video Quality the Zune has the iPod beat BADLY, first the OLED screen on the Zune is phenomenal. A side by side comparison of just the screen quality has the iPod lacking greatly. Next you have the Nvidia Tegra(yes the same Nvidia that makes high-end graphics cards) Graphics procession unit. Which is the most powerful graphics chip ever put in a MP3 player. It can play videos of 720P HD with bitrates up to 10MBs, that beats the iPods max video performance of 540P 2.5MBs. While both require a dock to see videos of max quality, they still play an important factor in video quality. Not to mention the Nvidia chip on the Zune HD is powerful enough to play 3D Xbox games.

The User Interface might be a little more difficult to learn, but once you learn it, it certainly beats the iPod Touch. It is slick and very responsive, and has lots of amazing features that you wont see on other MP3 players.

The Overall Quality is given to the Zune again. First off its made out of anodized aluminum that is very hard to scratch and looks, in the long run, better then the chrome back of the iPod. (which also shows everything under the sun, dirt, grim, fingerprints, you name it)

Lastly for a bonus, the software for the computer itself beats iTunes anyday. First off its not a computer hog, and second you can actually share music between other Zunes, with an iPod you cant.

Now just to give you a slight background on me. I have owned and tested over 10 MP3 player types. Including using the iPod Touch for over 20 hours, and iTunes, sadly for several months. When I bought my first Zune in 2008, I soon figured out there was no going back. Sold my original 8GB Zune last year and now I sport an great 16GB Zune HD, 4 months and NO problems.

			QUESTION:
Zune Vs. Ipod. Which would you choose?
Sooo I posted a previous question asking what kind of Ipod should I get tomorrow (technically today) and then it occurred to me that there is also Zune. So, to all of you music fanatics, what would you chose? Not sure whether or not I'm Guenna go for the Ipod Classic or the Itouch, but I've heard that the Classic is compared to the Zune 120GB, and the Itouch was compared to the Zune HD. So with that being said, which out of those four would you chose and why? Help is always appreciated!

				ANSWER:
it really depends...right off the bat i have to throw out the ipod classic tho as the 120GB zune is just all around a much better player (larger screen, better sound quality, better build materials, wireless marketplace, wireless syncing and sharing, ect..)

as for the touch screen players it is all what you are into....
if you plan on playing lots of games, get the touch. but if you plan on using it for music and movies, get the Zune HD.

that being said, i have owned all 3 devices you have mentioned...what do i use the most you ask....the HD. the screen on the HD is simply AMAZING, and blows away the other devices screens in this comparrison. also the sound quality is equally as good as the screen quality. games on the HD are all FREE and are actually pretty good and addicting. internet is fast on the HD, the keyboard works great, the accelerometer flips the screen almost instantly.

also the software the zune uses is superior and much easier to use than itunes.....i am a pretty tech savy guy and i have a hard time figuring out itunes and how to use it properly...while the zune is super simple and easy to do.

it all comes down to your preference....i suggest the HD to ppl interested in music and movies, and the ipod touch for game/app addicts, and the zune 120GB for ppl that want to put EVERYTHING they own on their player. i had 5000 songs and like 40 movies on my 120GB and only used up like 36GB or something...it was rediculous. but the internet and games and screen make up for the lack of memory available in the HD (compaired to the 120GB that is)

			QUESTION:
URGENT HELP... little mp3 crisis, iPod vs. Zune HD?
K... So right now i have a little zune 8 gig i'm fine wit the size but wouldn't mind a 16 gb. Im also really bored with the 8gb... That's why im considering an itouch which leads me to my question...
Will the Zune HD be worth waiting until fall to get or should i buy an iTouch?
And, will the Zune HD have something like the app store when it comes out...

P.S. My birthday is in october, just after the zune HD release.

				ANSWER:
It can't hurt to wait the three months for it to come out. If you like the basics of the Zune 8, the Zune HD will only improve on it.

I would buy the thing for battery life alone. It will have an OLED which has better battery life than an LCD. The Zune HD will also use the Nvidia Tegra as its processor. It is one of the most powerful mobile processors on the market and the way it is designed also makes it incredibly energy efficient.

The firmware it will be running is based off of Windows CE/ Windows Mobile so the apps which were already developed for those should be easily ported over. And I doubt MS would bother to put the Tegra in there and only have it play music and videos. The XNA Game Studio already makes it easy to develop games for the Zune and it wouldn't be surprising if they made some Xbox games work with the touchscreen.

Zunes don't get viruses. Just putting that out there.

Basically im looking to buy either a zune hd 32gb or a itouch 32gb. Which do you prefer and why?
ANSWER:
okay now an ipod is a great buy or so most people may say. I have had a zune 80gb and a zune 30gb and i didn't have a problem with either besides my 80gb freezing up but you can restart it to solve that problem. I know for a fact I am getting a Zune Hd for Christmas and I can honestly tell you that Zune is the best buy because it is easier to deal with involving the sync process and the formats of files....Zune also has a radio and Zune's marketplace has a subscription, itunes doesn't even do that. Email me and tell me how it goes.

			QUESTION:
iPod touch vs Zune vs iphone vs classic (for the millionth time)?
So i am looking to buy a new multimedia device. I have read a lot of the questions already asked on here but still feel it necessary to ask my own.

i am looking at getting either a iPhone, ipod touch, ipod classic, or a Zune.

now the Zune is out of the question if I can't use iTunes which seems to be the case. Correct?

the iPhone is also out of the question if it truly is only a iTouch with phone capablities and a big billing fee. also correct?

so the main competition (if the other two statements are actually true) is between the ipod touch and the ipod classic.

i am tempted by the internet features the ipod touch has. but can the ipod classic store and play videos just as well as the ipod touch? and i know the touch's screen is probably better, but is the classics still pretty good?

finally, which has more storage space in general?

thanks for answering yet another one of these questions.

				ANSWER:
You could get the iPod touch. It's basically a iPhone without the bill and phone. However, it has more memory, 32 gb, for its price. If you want more memory, you could get the classic with 160 gb. If you are active or accident prone, I wouldn't recommend it. The classic has a hard drive and has moving parts. If you shake it or drop it, you could break it. Also, it has a small screen. As for the zune, if you want freedom to use any media player or buy from stores other than itunes, you could get that. All in all, I would get the iPod touch.

			QUESTION:
will a Zune HD work in an iPod docking station?
I'm trying to decide between a Zune HD 16GB vs. an Apple iTouch 8GB. I'm leaning toward the Zune HD, but concerned it won't be compatable with most iPod docking stations. Help?

				ANSWER:
Probably not, iPods have a 30-pin connector on the bottom which is pretty unique to that device. and if you look at the path iphones are moving down with having external devices, theres a good reason why that 30-pin connector is standard on apple mobile devices. if you are just going from the headphone audio output on the iphone or zune it will work fine.

			QUESTION:
Ipod Touch Vs Zune HD?
I am at a pickle here. I dont know which one I should get. The details on the zune are pretty much out. But the itouch is still in its shady state.

So far I am thinking the zune is pretty good. Its looks and seems decent. I will probably go with it if Apple cant beat there price. Currently the 16 gb zune sells for the same as the current 8 gb Ipod touch . But that all can change.

Do you think apple will match there price?

The main plus about Ipod though is that its got 3 years of experience while the Zune HD is just starting out. Having cameras on the touch seems cool. But I already have a crappy one on my phone and I have a deccent digital camera also. Its not a big selling point to me. And I guess the same for apps. Sure they are nice. But really the main thing I want to do is watch videos and listen to music. May get a few games. I had a DS and I know its not better than that. Its a nice thing to have but I dont think having apps or not will be my selling point.

I know the Ipod touch wont dissapoint. I used their current one and its pretty cool. Its only going to get better. I am taking more of a gamble with the zune. But it seems that I can get the better deal out of it right now.

What are your opinions on these new players? And which one would you pick up or rather pick up this fall?

			QUESTION:
What are you going to buy? Zune HD vs Ipod Touch (3rd gen)?
Well the cats out of the bag on pricing. I was hoping for even pricing then I may have sided with apple. It was announced that there will be a 8gb Itouch for 0 while the Zune HD 16gb is 0. It doesn't take a scientist to account for the big upgrade of space for such a small price.

The price is what sold me on the zune. I am just cheap like that lol. Granted the ipod touch has a bigger screen, lots of apps, and a extremely solid back round being its 3rd generation.

What it really boils down to is how many songs and videos I can hold at a time. And the zune is double the ipod's so its the winner here. I am taking a gamble though. The zune is new, it looks promising. I will be impressed no matter what its better than my 4 year old sandisk. But theres a chance I will be getting a inferior product. Anyways

Which player are you going to buy? Or which one would you buy and why?

nd the zune HD! well it has OLED screen with a very hd sharp image even outside with the glaring sun, web browser, hd radio, touch screen as well, although it does not have flash player yet it still beats the new ipod touch 3rd gen. and the zune has a way better battery than ipod. so it is zune hd for me all the way=]]

zunes have always been one of the better sounding MP3 players out there...much better than the ipod lineup. so it should be just as good as the sony. i was also considering the sony...that was until i got my hands on one. the interface was "clunky" and just outdated and UI was not as "pretty" as the zune HD's.....plus for or so, it was a no brainer for me. you are also getting HD radio on top of FM radio, wireless syncing and sharing and wireless marketplace, glass screen, scratch resistant backing, user friendly software that works and looks great. 720P HD output, nice xbox360 intigration, larger screen, and double storage capacity for less....is this even a real question...haha....any way you look at it, the zune wins out.

				ANSWER:
I picked the Zune over the iPod Touch because

1. Nice design - Both are very nice looking, but I think the Zune is better. It's different, yet cool, and the iPod Classic has too much of a utilitarian look to it, and isn't as inviting.

2. Hardware - Definitely Zune. The brushed aluminum backside is really scratch free (Apple uses the other scratch-prone aluminum back). The plastic front of the Zune has a nice solid texture. The Zune has a BIGGER glass screen. Makes video viewing great.

3. UI - The user interface on the Zune is much more better and intuitive. The iPod Classic still uses that menu system where you have to keep "digging" in and out to get where you want. Zune one ups it by making it very easy to find what you want in one category, and gets you back to the home screen faster.

4. Customizability - You can change the background of the menu(easy to identify and looks cool), get your Zune a nickname (you have to register, and hope noone else took it), get special laser engraving at Zune Originals ( https://zuneoriginals.net/ ), cases, accessories, and the usual.

5. FM Radio - You can catch radio talk shows, news, sports, radio contests, new music, and a bunch of other radio content with the FM Radio. You can also buy a song from a radio station, if there's RDS offered.

6. WiFi - You can share songs and pictures with other Zune owners, wirelessly connect to your PC, access the Marketplace store, and instantly update your podcasts

7. Software (computer) - I personally like to manage my music in the Zune software better. iTunes really looks like old spreadsheets compared to the Zune program. Again, the UI on the desktop software is pretty smooth, slick, and simple to go around. Nice transitions, and you can even change the background theme. Also, it uses LESS memory, so it's not as as bad on system resources.

8. Store - iTunes does have more content, I'll admit. But the offerings on Zune aren't bad. It has almost all the tracks that iTunes has, and there's some TV shows and music videos offered (Increasing every week!). Browsing through Zune Marketplace is cool though! Popular artists have special pages and it looks really neat to browse through. Finding content is much more easier for me. You can also access the store on your device.

9. Zune Pass - This is an optional way of getting music from the store. Instead of traditionally buying music, you can RENT music for .99 a month. You have access to almost all of the store's music tracks, and you can download as many tunes as you want onto your device. After a month, you do have to pay .99 to keep your subscription running, or else your songs don't work. But it's a great legal way to get tons of music, for a rather cheap price. If that's not your thing, each song cost 79 points each (99 cents).

10. MixView - On the Zune software, there's this awesome visualization that comes up when you're playing a song. You really have to take a look : http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?vid=1dadcc7c-bbed-4e5c-a36a-b6bc44728ed1

11. Games - The latest Zune firmware contains 2 games: Hexic and Texas Hold'Em. More coming soon.

You can DOWNLOAD the Zune software right now, and give it a try : http://www.zune.net/en-us/software/download/default.htm

Also, the Genius feature on the iPod, doesn't even compare to the Zunes. Check out any fair review on the web, and the Zune's Channels and Picks offer a much better music discovery.

Do you really need to go on the Internet where you go? It may be convenient, but that's only if there's a free fast WiFi spot available, and again, it's not always fast. Safari doesn't display Flash btw.

It comes with Hexic and Texas Hold 'Em in the latest update, and you could always download more from that other users created.

			QUESTION:
Can the Zune HD play youtube videos?
Alright, this is basically what will win me with the Ipod touch vs zune.

Can the Zune HD play youtube vids?

Is it even possible, please explain a little.

So far what I see between the 2...
Zune has better audio better screen better look better battery life better resolution, cool features

Itouch has a lot of apps (that counts for like a zillion pros) and can play youtube vids.

				ANSWER:
No it cannot, the itouch can with the support of all the core features of the original YouTube.

Plus the HD screen is annoying with the black background because you always see your reflection on the screen I hate it.
With the itouch the screen is covered in icons so you don't have that problem and if you jailbreak you can change the wallpaper.

But no the zine HD can't cause it sucks and is Microsoft obvious fail to compete with apple.

			QUESTION:
Zune hd vs. iPod Touch?
I just bought the itouch but sadly only 8gb bc ik that I won't need much space but my friend has a zune hd and it was about the same price as my touch except cheaper and has twice as much space as me. I was think should I keep my touch or switch to the zune hd?

				ANSWER:
I recommend the ZuneHD over Itouch from personal experience, it has better quality to everything, from using both my 16 gb Itouch and ZuneHD but remember if you want apps and videos, stick with touch, better quality everything and HD radio, ZuneHD, though new 3rd party apps, may make youtube possible in the near future. 3rd Party apps ( about 100-150) are alot for the ZuneHD though minute to Itouch's app collection.

			QUESTION:
Everyone should hold OFF for the ZUNE 2.......?
Its the number one mosted wanted on cnet

Zune 2 vs Ipod classic
3.2'' glass screen
same battery life as ipod's
same size as ipod's
sync wirelessly with your laptop
80gb hardrive, same as ipod's
FM radio
Watch movies in Widescreen mode
Customizable background (have your gf/bf as your background)
Very Intuitive User Interface (better or same as ipod's)
Microsfot is backing it up so you have nothing to worry
Doesnt crash (i own zune 1 and it havent crashed on me once yet )

It beats the ipod classic in every aspects. To compare it the itouch, it has way more space 80gb vs 16gb. They itouch may looks better but it costs way more (150dollars more for the 16gb itouch).
Here is the link to CNET most wanted

http://www.cnet.com/4520-4_1-6541088-1.html?tag=cnetfd.mw
Also comes with Premium Earphones worth 39 dollars. The zune 2 audio output is already wayy better than ipod's. With the premium earphones, it will be day and night difference.

				ANSWER:
Saying the Zune 2 beats Ipod classic is like saying I can beat a honda civic with a mustang, of coarse you can but there are about abillion cars in between those. There are players already out that are better then the both of them. The Zen Vision M has won awards with Cnet for like 2 or 3 years straight. The Zune platform sucks, I happen to be a microsoft fan but simply put the players just suck and as long as I can buy a Cowon A2 or Vision M or Archos 404 I will never be buying a Zune or an Ipod.

			QUESTION:
8GB vs. 32GB iPod Touch?
I'm most likely going to be getting an iTouch for my birthday, and I'm not sure of whether to get the 8 or 32 gb model. I've read that the 32gb one is the 3rd generation and is up to 50% faster than the 8gb which is only the 2nd generation? Is it really noticeable to where it's worth shelling out the extra 0?

I'm not much of a hardcore gamer...I plan on using the iTouch for checking my email/using Facebook continuously, along with using various apps I find like Tap Tap or something.

I have a Zune 30 right now, and I've already used 6 gigabytes of it, if that helps.

				ANSWER:
I have a 8GB Touch G3. I don't notice the "Its really a G2" processing speed loss. I've also owned a Touch G1 and thats also pretty quick. It'll be the least of your worries. Memory wise,You'll probably carry over those 6GB of music and from experience, I'll tell you it truly sucks to be dangling near the edge of your memory. That said, you'll carry over that music and only have two gigs available for apps. If you're like me, you might go app crazy. These games are also pretty big. Basically what I'm saying, get the 32GB if you've got someone else purchasing it for you. As much as I hate to persuade anyone to give Apple MORE of their money.

			QUESTION:
Zunes VS. iPods? What do you think?
So, about a month ago I dropped my iPod touch first gen. for the billionth time, but this time the screen broke. My dad said he'd try and get it fixed for me and he sent it to some place where they fix iPods (no, he didn't send it to Apple) but they sent it back saying that we have to pay 0; and yeah, there is no way my dad is paying that much money to get it fixed. So I'm thinking of saving up money to buy a second generation iTouch because I loved my first generation sooo much. But then I thought that maybe if I bought the Zune, I'd be getting more than if I bought an iPod. So basically what I'm asking is, which do you think is better? Zunes or iPods? Pros & Cons of both, tell me what you think.

Thanks sooooooooooo much to everybody.
I really appreciate it

				ANSWER:
I have the zune 120 gb and love it. It's 0, holds 30,000 songs, and has better sound quality than the ipod touch. It has wifi, and while you can't go on the internet, there is a marketplace in which you can buy songs straight from your player, like the itouch. It also has a radio, and if you like the song thats playing, you just click buy and it will download it for you. It's still a big screen for watching videos, and can hold a lot more than the itouch. Hope I helped!

			QUESTION:
Gift: iTouch vs Zune?
Thinking about buying my big brother a graduation gift, and right now he's had an old/refurbished Zune (i think the first version that was ever released). Just wondering if I should buy him the new version of Zune, or a new iTouch? Pros and cons? Your experiences? Thanks~

				ANSWER:
You can consider buying Apple iPod touch 32 GB (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL
Pros:
-Slick,small and light device
-Great touch screen
-The BEST web browser on a portable device
-Amazing video/music playback
-App Store (Too many cool applications for Free)
-Display screen is clear and bright
-No bugs and annoying stuff a very reliable hardware
-64GB Flash based mp3 player

Cons:
-Not much of an upgrade over 2G (people were disappointed because they did not get upgrades like camera/OLED/etc)
-Weaker battery, only lasts 30 hours for music playback versus 2G iPod touch 36 Hours music playback
-Expensive for the 64GB version
-Still no FM radio without the use of online applications
-Bluetooth is still half locked
