Zune Vs Ipod Sales

Q: I just got the new Moto Verizon Droid and I would like to put iTunes library onto Droid to replace my iPhone. Does anyone know how to transfer iTunes music TV shows movies to Droid? I've already tried Motorola Media Link....didnt work, I also want to transfer iPod music to Droid Milestone, any help?

A: It is the DRM (digital rights management) and media formats to blame since Motorola Droid Milestone CLIQ Rival only support non-DRM .mp3 .aac .wma .ogg .wav music and .3gp .mp4 video files; while .m4p music and .m4v novie from iTunes have DRM license protection --- the same situation with the .wma music and .wmv video movie from other online store like Windows Media Centre, Napster, Rhapsody, Nokia Music Store, Spiralfrog, Bearshare, eMusic, Puretracks, MusicGiants, CinemaNow, Movielink, Amazon Unbox, as well as the Microsoft Zune MarketPlace.

Part 1: Transfer iTunes music movie to Droid Milestone CLIQ with Motorola Media Link

Motorola Media Link is a good application to transfer iTunes music movie to Droid Milestone CLIQ, but it cant support DRM-protected files as MML's statement --- that explains why you cant use Media Link to transfer iTunes music to Droid Milestone.

Sync iTunes music movie to Droid Milestone CLIQ (MML only fits these two Moto smartphones) is a easy Drag & Drop job.

1. Mount your Motorla AnDroid Milestone phone Micro SD card to make sure Media Link can recognize it.

  3. QUESTION:
    Zune vs Ipod Classic Question?
OK, I have an Ipod video 80g that I bought sometime prior to the release of the new Ipod video 80gb that is now concidered the Ipod Classic. I want more space for my TV shows that I have an my Ipod which is out of room. I also have a 80gb Zune that I use for my movies and that works fine. I'm debating on wether to get an 80gb zune or an 80/160gb Ipod classic. I want the ability to put in a discription for the video I put on the device Which I cant do with my Ipod but I can do with My zune which is the feature that is making me concider getting the Zune My Question is: Can you put in a discrition of the videos on the newer ipod classics. And...what do you need to hook the IPod video upto the TV? Can you still use the white cable or do you need the more expensive dock? I was told you need it for the newer Ipod videos and not the older Ipod videos. Is this true? I was told this by sales person so I want to make sure it's true.
My Question is: Can you put in a discrition of the videos on the newer ipod classics Like you can with the Zune?

    • ANSWER:
thats great! you have a lot of videos! me too! i got the 30gb Microsoft Zune and i also got the 30gb Apple iPod (both got it last year). a few weeks ago, i just got the iPod Touch. when i ask the clerk in Apple store, they say i need a new cable for watching videos over the tv. there are two cables, the component or the composite. both of them are pinn-type so they have to be connected to the bottom of the iPod. now with regards to the new Microsoft Zune, i am still have not figure out how to output the video to the tv. i was browsing some cables for the Zune, no video cable found for the new Zune. so meaning to say its the same video cable you will be using for the old Zune (similar the video cable for the 30gb iPod Video).

  4. QUESTION:
    Macs vs PC sales Statistics.?
According to sales statistics as of 2010
    Which has sold more?
    Which has better consumer ratings?
Yes this is about desktops/laptops. Not mp3 players Ipod>zune by far

    • ANSWER:
As far as I know, Mac has never had more than 12-13% of the personal computer market. Probably because they sell outdated hardware for high prices

Apple has better than average reliability ratings, but comes in behind ASUS and Toshiba

  5. QUESTION:
I know they're being killed, but should I still get a Zune?
My Zune 8 just died. Wonderful timing.
So the search for my next mp3 player is on.
As stubbornly anti-Apple as I am, I decided to look at iPods first. Shuffles were too small, I didn't like the look of the current Nano, and the Classic was too chunky for my liking. Plus I might as well just get a Touch then. The thing about the Touch? I dunno, I just don't want one. At all.
Admittedly, there aren't really many options out there aside from iPods. In fact, everything except for the few Zunes left fail by my standards.
So it's down to the iPod vs. Zune debate I dealt with when I got this last Zune a few years ago. Back then, it was easy enough, but now, now that the Zune is being discontinued?
I'm not even 100% sure what that means, but something about that is warning me against getting a Zune. But there's nothing attractive at all in the iPods for me, and I'd take the Zune 32 any day.
If it weren't for this recent discontinuation. Although Best Buy is now running a sale because of that...
...is it worth getting though? Put aside your Apple fanboyism and tell me whether or not it's a really stupid idea to get a product that's being discontinued.

    • ANSWER:
The only downside to the Zune HD mp3 players will be, that apps will not be made for the Zune HD mp3 players any longer. Microsoft however, is not killing off the Zune Mp3 player line entirely. Microsoft is only eliminating the stand alone Zune mp3 players, like the Zune HD. Microsoft is killing off the Zune mp3 players to concentrate on there new Windows Phone 7 operating system for smart phones. Don't forget, that all Windows Phone 7 enabled phones, are fully enabled Zune mp3 players. Much like the i Phone is for i Pod's. Apple is moving in this direction as well. There is talk of eliminating the i Pod classic in the near term now. Also, the Zune market place is not going anywhere since it is needed to manage your music, and video's on the Windows 7 phones.

The Zune is not dead. Only the stand alone players are. If you get a Zune mp3 player, it will still hook up to the Zune Market place just fine. Plus, Microsoft wants to start incorporating the market place even more into the Xbox 360 then it already is.

PS. If you want apps though, you will have to get a Windows 7 enabled phone.
